I received my dehumidifier the next day from Walmart - nice! Unpacking and setup was very easy and instructions clear, the controls intuitive. My unit started removing basement humidity within 30 minutes of receiving. The pump, gravity drain, and internal collection pan modes all worked perfectly - I checked each one! If I have any complaint, the unit could be a little quieter but, in fairness, it's quieter than the older units it replaced. I'm so impressed with this unit I bought a second one!
It so far has been a good unit. Haven’t had a dehumidifier last more than a few years so we’ ll see. I do like the Wi-Fi features in which it notifies you that the bucket is full.
This is amazing. It pull insane amounts of water out of my dads house. Moisture has always been a problem. Not anymore. I am amazed how well it draws away water. Problem solved.
This unit works well in my basement. However, when I read all of the warnings it appears that: 1. You need to plug it into a single outlet receptacle. I need to get an electrician in to add one because all of my outlets are double receptacle outlets. 2. You cannot have it near electrical items that start and stop which can cause arcs. This makes it tough since I have a hot water heater, heat pump air handler unit, sump pump, freezer, and well pump in my basement. Technically I cannot get it far away enough from all of them. It appears that in the move to "Green" appliances the manufacturers switched to a highly flammable refrigerant. So, if there is a refrigerant leak there is the potential for a fire.
It's like having a heater on, and it's very loud. I live in a humid and hot climate, FL. I wanted help lowering the humidity in the house to try to reduce mold. Unfortunately, this expensive machine alao acts like a heater. it loudly blows a ton of hot air into the room, heating up the whole house.
i bought two units let them sit for 23 hours before beginning to use. The first one froze up right from the beginning, so i returned it. The second one worked great for about two weeks then began to stop and start even on continuous cycle. then failed. Walmart store refused to accept the return even though the app said i had two more days. Bottom line is if you get a unit that works it is great, but for how long it will stay that way is anyones guess.
I thought they inadvertently forgot to include the drain hose, but after a month going back and forth, their customer support team admitted that THEIR BOX LIES! It says "Drain Hose Included," and they say there is no drain hose. Without a drain hose, this is virtually useless. They don't even tell you what type of hose you need to buy . Walmart shouldn't sell a product with DECEPTIVE PACKAGING. Find a reputable manufacturer!
I picked it up on July 5th 2025 set it up in my basement with the drain hose same day. Ran until 09/02/2025 fine then started leaking out of the bottom of the machine. Covered my basement in water and is now useless.
They advertise that this is a model with a pump, but what they don’t tell you is that you can’t hook that drain line to a another plumbing source i.e. the hose coming out of the drain of a sink. And if you want to put the drain hose up to the sink the pump is not strong enough to pump the water that high
Dehumidifier didn't even turn on. Message on box says do not return to Walmart, call this number. Phone number on box doesn't work. Bogus company, stay away.
