I don't know why such a low ratings, I find this air conditioner better then brand names like Frigidaire I got rid of it and replaced with Midea 5,000 puts out much better I give it 5.0.

It's always gotten me out of a tight spot. Super efficient, easy to install, and works super well.

Unit is no more noisy than any other standard 6000 BTU unit. It cools well in the Florida heat and humidity. It is advisable to have the unit slightly tilted to the outside for condensation drainage. Very please with the easy of installation, it fit the same whole created for the previous unit which was a Fridgidair, seems to cool faster than the previous unit. It is in a portable building used for a Craft Business and sufficiently keeps the humidity low to protect supplies such as paper.

This little thing does what it's supposed to do. I bought it for a small bedroom. It was super easy to install and has been working very well.....4 nights in. It doesn't have a remote, nor is it SMART, but since I bought it for a small room, I figured it wasn't needed. I would recommend this air conditioner whole-heartedly.

Haven't had any issues with the unit, but still in first year of using it. Have an old house with skinny windows so the 5000 btu is a bit small for room size and it barely fits in window. For this reason it runs alot. I don't think it's too loud. It's a very basic unit but I wish they used words to tell u what the controls are. The 2 snowflakes r cooling, think one is just fan and not sure what other one is. Lost manual already so I'm stuck on website looking for info lol

Good features. Fits in window better than other A/C's. But one major problem. Base drain pan does not drain. This A/C allows water from rain to leak into front part of unit where the fan is under heavy rain causing water to spray into room. This causes a mold and bearing problem and you will need to replace it after 1 season. Really a shame cause it is a well built unit except for this problem. Stay away until they fix the problem or protect the upper vents to prevent the rain from entering. This is not condensate water and once the water gets into the front area you need to take unit out and drain it upside down or get sprayed. For a while.

Where to begin . . . it doesn't cool well on hot days, doesn't have decent fresh air exchange on cooler nights when you just want the fan, and is noisy. On a 90 degree day in New England, it couldn't keep my 200 sqft bedroom cooler than 78 degrees. On a night in the 50s, the fan couldn't cool below 72. It's so noisy that the manual - almost unusable on the important stuff - devotes two whole pages to all the kinds of noise this thing makes. Plus it generates condensation that drips down one side of the unit. I was better off with the 20-year old unit I replaced this with. I would have returned this if I hadn't missed the window before we hit enough hot weather for me to discover just how inadequate this is.

Have had this unit for 10 months and there is no cooling effect. All it does is blow hot air. Have been trying to get a replacement part, but unable to find the right piece

I like that it was small. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This Air conditioner is by far the worst one I have ever owned. I bought the extended warranty also. After 4 months i called the company because there was so much mold inside the unit, it was not safe to breath the air it was blowing. the foam inside was dry and turning to dust. I call the company thinking they might. do something because its only 4 months old. The want me to pay and replace the foam myself and take it apart and clean it too. Im 60 yrs old and i cant lift an air conditioner, I told them. After about 8 emails , they would not help. I call the insurance warranty company and the told me because its still under warranty I should call Midea. I almost cried. I will tell anyone that will listen not. to buy anything from this company. This has been a Nightmare.
