Midea 5,000 BTU Mechanical Window Air Conditioner, Covers Up to 150 Sq. Ft., Easy Installation, Black, Model MAW05M1WBL

Bought two of these units to use in a 1700sqft house while we had our heat pump and ductwork replaced. These were life savers during August temps. We had one in our bedroom which kept it icy cold and another in our family room. It kept the house at a reasonable temp. It was on the warm side in the main areas of the house but at least it wasn't hot, I wasn't sweating. They diid the job for what I needed at the time.

This works amazing for my son's room after our ac went out during this heat. The instructions are easy to read, but was just mildly difficult to get a good install. But overall not bad. I'd buy another. It blows out perfectly cool air.

This was Fantastic to install. Works great for a Small room. Looks great in a small room. Comes will ALL hardware needed. TIPS: 1. Let the Black Plastic "Wings" Heat up in the Hot sun and they will be EASY to Install. 2. Use the FOAM in the Box that it came Shipped with to do the Install if you have Limited Space as where you Have BARS on your WIndows. Makes it Easy to make a Good seal. 3. Get some type of Black Duct Tape to seal from Critters. 4, Comes with Foam Seal and a small bit of tape. 5. Use some Wood Planks to get the AC unit to Tip to its Back slightly This will prevent condensation in the unit. 6. Plug Directly into an Outlet with not much load on there for BEST performance. 7. Use Curtains on windows to keep out sunlight and insulate heat from outside and cold from getting out. PERFORMANCE: It does what it says. Kept the Room and the VIdeo Card and PC COOL! I think it has 2 fan speeds. Not sure. Not loud enough to bother anyone I think that lives in the city. OVERALL? GREAT BUY! And great for a TEMP install till you get your whole house unit. I got it so that my Son did not have to stay in a HOT Room at his moms house. And his PC with the Blazing Video Card and AMD CPU was running a Bit hot in a room at 85 or more degrees inside or higher. For a Small room, as long as you keep the room well insulated and door closed? IT WORKS FANTASTIC! The Built up gaming PC works GREAT now ! And My son is cool as a CUcumber! THank you Walmart and Thank you Midea for such a great value and device.

I can't say that I don't recommend it. My mother and I have the same unit... But mine started making a loud sound then it jumped off- knocking the power out with it. My mother's own still works perfectly fine in her room. Today I tried mine again and realized it only jumps off if I tried to set it higher than just the fan setting.

After 60 days of use, the air coming from unit has a bad smell. No obvious signs of mold, etc., unit looks clean, but smell persists. Other window style air conditioners in house work fine, and were bought in earlier years. This one was purchased in June 2025.

This air conditioner was the weakest and worst air conditioner i have ever experienced. The very old one i had to get rid of this spring because it broke worked better, after it was broken. I returned this a. c. It took me over 2 hours to install it because of many reasons. The pull outs dont even work properly. They were crooked and didnt oull out all the way at all. I was very unhappy with this piechase. All im saying is that i spent less than $100 more on another a. c. and could not be happier with it. It works amazingly! What a difference!!!

The Ac unit itself seems to he working ok. The problem I had was that we got it installed in the window and turned it on. One it had ran about a minute Ants started flying out all over the place. I don't mean a few Ants, this was 30-40. Most of the bugs were dead but there was a handful that was still alive. Not to mention the fact that they're red Ants of some sort that sting. I was extremely disappointed. I ordered an AC unit, not a bug infestation!

I bought this air conditioner on July 1, 2025 I ran it for a month then the temps cooled for awhile so I turned it off, last week it got hot again so I turned it back on and it doesn't work ( the fan doesn't come on so it doesn't blow any air whatsoever). I'm very angry about this because I didn't have $150.00 to throw away. I'll never buy another air conditioner from Walmart again and that's a fact.

I canceled this item I hope the pending charge is removed from my debit card I called customer service to confirm the cancellation cause it was canceled within 2 minutes of ordering they said it was canceled now I'm waiting for that specific amount to the air conditioner is removed or reversed hopefully sooner rather than later it's important to me to have access to the funds immediately if the order was successfully canceled

Never ordering from Walmart again. Every single time I order online there's an issue . I purchased this ac around the 8th of July . It came damaged %26 not working . I've returned it %26 have been trying to get my money back since but it always an issue on their end . Now I tried to purchase a tv thru affirm %26 they took the money but didn't place the order . I'm so over it . U guys have TERRIBLE customer service. TERRIBLE .
