this thing is so quiet. even with the fans at max speed its a quarter of the noise of my previous window ac. it makes no noise outside, its extremely quiet and the auto settings are SO NICE. it cools, and then calms down. my previous one would just run at max sped all the time and get wayy to cold so i'd have to manually turn it off and on. this one has the app, and the buttons are right on the face. you can turn off the LED and make it not make any beep sounds when you change settings. i love this thing and would totally buy it again if another room needed to be cooled like my office
Very happy with this purchase. Good price and quality. The unit is so much quieter than the other style and brands we have had. The way it fits in the window is a game changer. Works well, has lots of options and would definitely buy again.
Installation was a little time consuming, but well worth the effort. Unit is the quietest I have ever had. Seems to be very well made and blows a lot of cold air. Can hardly hear its running inside and outside.
Only been a few weeks, but so far this unit has been great. Very quiet because the compressor is located outside the window. Cools well. Only “complaint” is the complicated install. Still I liked the sturdiness of the mounting bracket and that the bracket was fully installed before hanging the AC unit. Also a little difficult to fully seal the window despite the many parts that were customs cut to size. A little extra tape and the window was sealed. lol
Unit clearly had been used, returned %26 reboxed, though the box was undamaged and didn't look like it had been re-taped. Unit was filthy and weatherstripping was torn/missing. Other than that, I like the AC.
I like the form factor but operationally it isn't that cool. Brand new and only cools room to 75. I would look at other Medea models. I have 4 of the these and 3 have not lasted more than a year or two…
let's be clear I like my new air conditioner. the only thing is that for the insulation around it is basically styrofoam. so far it's kept the water out from the storms but at some point I'm looking to put some wood around it instead. I got the installation for Walmart they contract with Angie's List. the person who came out claimed that he tried calling me I never got a phone call. he was unfamiliar with this type of unit and had to study the directions and then he second guessed the directions which were to put it in the windows track he refused to do because he was afraid of breaking the window. so instead of it sitting flush in the window track there's about a 2 inch Gap but he said it was supposed to be like that. after reading the instructions I'm not entirely convinced that he know what he was doing. now I'm going to have to spend additional money for someone to come out and take a look and see if it was actually installed correctly and if not to install it correctly. lesson learned do not pay for Walmart to do the installation.
As a u-shape it's A ,but the unit has a loud rattle sound that can't be stopped, humidity in the room is terrible unless you use the “dry” mode. It was too late to be returned and $300 waste of money. Midea customer service can't help you with anything.
The driver delivered this to the wrong house and I never received it to be able to rate it. I have reported this to Walmart already on the day it happened and still haven't heard anything back
it goes on about easy installation but when you first start reading, it is in fact not a easy install and going to take extra time effort. I'll admit i paid more for what i thought was going to be a huge convenience for installing and uninstalling for that. this was not worth the price for how easy it claims
