We placed this unit in our bedroom. It cools the room, which is large, and does make a fair amount of noise, which I don't mind given that I sleep with a white noise machine on anyway. I do love that the unit actually switches over to heater so it's 2 in 1.

This ac is my new best friend. We were running a much to small 8,000 btu unit on the main floor in our house and during this heat wave it was around 80 degrees inside. Plugged this 14,000 btu one in, and it was nearly 15 degrees cooler in about 3 hours.

its better than sleeping in a hot room. most people can handle installation. collected water needs to be dumped in the sink after a day and you need to do a quick clean of the system every two weeks. while it works fantastic for a day room at night it is a little bit loud especially if on full power. i slept with it three feet from the foot of my bed and it was about 51 decibels by my pillow in the room. i can go to bed with it on but when it kicks on at night it wakes me up. a person might be able to run it all night bit if you are worried about noise level you can sleep with it turning on and off at night. my room with 11 foot high ceilings and a 12 by 12 foot floor does have an ac heating vent but was about 75 degrees this summer. i can jse this and get it down to the point that i feel uncomfortably cold with a shirt and shoes on. that 52 decibeks is more like 57 when turned to 100 percent power. i use about a 1.5 gallon bucket to collect the water from the water hose and that fills up within 2 days of full time use. the instructions werent super clear about how to clean but a youtube video will solve that. the hose will disconnect from the unit so you dont have to take the hose from the windkw to clean it. id say if you want to sleep in a room with a 5 or 6 degree temperature chamge then this will work. it will work in a day room at max output but again i kept mine at 71 and it was about 52 decibels from the head of my bed so going from 25 decibels to 52 will wake you up.

Cools great, if you have a horizontal sliding window well, the adapter is terrible, only one side latches and the other side splits open causing the hose to fall out, plus while removing it from the adapter I have had 2 clips snap off from squeezing them, as they're intended to be squeezed

The insert on the left is not positioned properly and so the fan sits lopsided. It doesn't interfere with the function, but disappointed that it came faulty.

Item is suppose to be mobile but VERY LIMITED! Called to get help with assembly but, language for this country was TERRIBLE!!!Therefore, I was forced to send item back! Took forever for me to get a refund!!! Don't waste your time, energy, and money people!

Worked well for two months then didn't. Just when my furnace failed and I really needed it the thing didn't work. Waste of money.

My one star review is for Walmart and their bottom tier customer service. The AC unit arrived with missing parts, possibly because it was already opened by someone else since the items that were included were haphazardly packed in the box. It was definitely not New as the website advertised. I went to test it out and there was broken plastic rattling inside that I couldn't remove, so not only did Walmart sell me a likely open boxed item, but also a dysfunctional one. Like any customer in my position, I went to start a return online only to run into an error. Well, turns out Walmart flagged MY account for fraud when I initiated the return. I called the customer service number and once the AI finally let me talk to a human, I was assured the issue will be resolved in hours. Well it's been a week now with no update and all customer service tells me when I call them is that they see my case but they can't do anything. I decided to drive to my closest Walmart which was 40 minutes away to try to return there, and the manager said they can't do anything about it since it was an online purchase (despite it being sold and fulfilled by Walmart, not some third party). Can't really give a review of the item since it appears Walmart is selling junk it doesn't want and ripping off the customer then accusing them of fraud. Walmart is a fraudulent, garbage company and you should not spend a dime there if you can help it cause they might just try and rob you instead.

I got damaged ac delivered and the only way to get a refund is by taking the ac to a Walmart store . Realy big inconvenience for me .
