So glad I can buy the entire series one disk at a time as the boxed series is very expensive. Love the English Mysteries.

Quintessential English country murder mystery
In many ways these stories follow the country mystery formula . . . with odd glimmers of humor injected into the story. The books' author wrote them that way and the filmed series is true to the tone of the books. The film locations are fabulous. Very fun to watch and re-watch.

English Quality
We may have the brits beat on variety, but overall they have us beat with quality. They have characters of course but normally not pushing the limits so as to render the storyline unbelievable.

Midsomer Murders, Series 2
I particularly like Midsomer Murders because it rarely fails to demonstrate the adage, `none so [weird] as folk`. The relationships between the characters add normalacy to the quite brutal world of psychopaths.

Top Rated Mystery
Ahhh, for the love of well-done, thoughtfully acted, intriguing stories of the British mysteries. Try it, you'll be held in suspense with the quality. You'll also enjoy the characters.
