We are transitioning our kids play room into a multi purpose game room and this small and simple game is way more fun that you might think. At first glance this game seems like it will be super easy because the launch pad is perfectly lined up but it's more challenging than it appears. I am really happy with the purchase and it seems to be holding up well. Anything to keep the kids off screens!
Seems like a simple concept, but is surprisingly addictive. If it can keep the attention of today's teen and doesn't have internet connectivity, you know it's good! The play modes and starting them is a little counter-intuitive, but really you can do without them. It is just nice to have something keeping the score to keep people honest!
The table basketball game is a nice game for my seven year old grandson; in that it holds his interest and keeps him happy. I enjoy watching him play with it and get so excited. I like that,as long as it is a pretty smooth level surface, you can set this table basketball game up anywhere. You can see that i allowed him to set it up on my walker seat. I play with him sometimes and i like how it helps with your hand and eye coordination. I also like how easy it is to bag it and take it along to visit his friends. I like that when the batteries run down, you can still pop the balls in the basket till you get the batteries replaced. The only thing was the little balls are easily lost if they popped off the table; you have to be careful and watch where they land when popping onto the floor. It would keep better if it had a case to store it and the balls in.
This table top Basketball game is net. My kids have a competition to see how many one can get. Sometimes it gets heated on the out come which to me it's odd. But they love the game. It's easy to play and it's for all ages. My husband even loves playing this game.
This is great game for everyone including younger kids. The game is very entertaining and ergonomic. You can take the game anywhere even in the car or SUV. I enjoyed this game while cooking dinner as well. Great past time and competitive competitive comes out when playing this game with family and friends.
Ever since receiving this toy, me, my husband, and our kids have been obsessed with this game! It has a very old school vibe, yet keeps track of your score on the digital screen. It comes With 3 little basketballs and is super fun to make the little shots. It's a blast! Highly recommended to anyone wanting options besides a tablet and video games
I received this item as a Spark reviewer. My 11 year old son loves it and I love playing against him. It is a very addictive game. I think it's great for kids and adults of all ages. It's good quality and seems like it will last a long time. Requires 3 AA batteries. Definitely recommend.
This is a review for the Midway Classic Pop-A-Shot Tabletop Basketball Game. This is an at-home arcade game. My kids had a similar one when they were younger. This is very similar to that game. They spent a lot of time playing the game (before video games became so popular). The old game was not electronic so this is a better version. This game can easily be played in the solo version or against another player. The game has electronic score keeping and sound effects. It is pretty cool. The game is 5' x 8' x 11'. 3 small basketballs come with the game. It requires 3 AA batteries. A 4 pack of batteries is included. There are small parts with this game so it is not recommemded for children under 3 years of age.
With Fall setting in, it was time for this grandpa to start organizing the grandkid's (4&8) entertainment shelves with new and refreshed indoors games and projects. The eight-year-old has started in basketball this year, so this Midway Classics game “POP A SHOT” original mini electronic game is a perfect new addition! It arrived via a package delivery service and was in perfect condition, inside and out, i.e. no damage. The game looked exciting in its retail packaging. It took about five minutes to remove all restraining tape and holders, thus letting me pull the game out of the box – you just need a sharp box cutter, no tools. However, you will need three AA batteries and a #2 Philips head screwdriver to open the battery box door, not a slim #1. The batteries are not required to play the game, though it adds more to the excitement and basket counting! Once I installed the batteries, the game was ready to be played, once we read the simply directions. It comes with three very small hard, but lightweight basketballs; nothing like a real one. We liked that you can select to play solo, or against another person (1). It has an electric score board, very tiny. The shot clock keeps track of how many seconds you have to play, plus how many baskets you or your opponent has made. There is an announcer's voice and a bit of crowd cheering; however, very soft. Once out of the box, it measures out to be roughly 9” deep x 3-3/4” wide x 6” tall; weighing out around 11.7 ounces. The recommended game age is 6+. My four-year-old did well with it under my direct supervision, as the three balls are potential choking hazards and the game itself is a bit flimsy, not meant to be roughly handled or dropped. Overall, a fun little game, which takes little room to play, though keep an eye on those miniature basketballs, we have already chased a few across the hardwood floors! I would have liked to seen three more spare basketballs added in, and the toy built a little more durable. Hoop it up!
I received this product from spark reviewer. My 7 year old daughter played with it for a short time but was easily bored with it. It's a decent product, I would recommend for an office desk but not for a small child as the balls are small amd definitely a choking hazard.
