Scatter Guard for Midwest Homes for Small Critters
It's definitely an improvement over having just the tray that came with the cage. My only problem is stuff still gets under or between the scatter guard and the tray and I still end up with a mess on the floor. I do not overfill the the tray since Newt (pet rat) usually goes in her litter box which is not located where most of the mess ends up. I've had birds in the past (parrots) and got guards for their cages that went around the outside perimeter of the cages not allowing anything out except what they might drop through their perches above the guards. Granted these were more like acrylic pieces so the rat might chew them, but something along this line in metal would be great. They would slide into tracks at the corners of the cages. Since, this is really the only available option for this cage, besides making something yourself I do recommend it as it works much better than nothing. Newt's happy and that's my main concern.

Little ferret mansion
Bought for my ferret for his 2nd birthday. I call it the ferret mansion. Rubber mallet pops it together fast %26 helps to disassemble.

Good product. Construction needs to be better
I would be 100% happy with the product as far as the cleaning would go if it had an enclosed bottom that you can take out and clean and so that the litter doesn't go outside of the cage everywhere.
