Mikasa Italian Countryside 16pc. Dinnerware Set (Service for Four)

I am very pleased with the dishes. One plate arrived chipped and Mikasa immediately shipped me a replacement plate. The bowls are quite large which is a small disappointment. It would be nice if you offered 2 different options of bowl size in this set. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I purchased this additional 8 place settings to add to my existing 8 place settings I bought last year in case something breaks on the tile. I like the fact that you can get a 32 or 40 piece - I already had the 40 piece with the rimmed soup bowls, now have the 32 which has the really nice soup/cereal bowls that are just a little larger. Variety is a good thing! I also have multiple serving bowls and platters as well as dipping plates and the red salad plates to complement the cream color of the basic set. They are tasteful, coordinate with anything, and very classic looking. I would recommend this set for everyday use or they are elegant enough to be your best occasional use set. One salad plate was broken in the box and Mikasa replaced it immediately - great customer service! Overall, very happy with all of my Italian Countryside. This replaced a set of Mikasa stoneware I handed down to my daughter that are over 20 years old and still look beautiful - a testament to the continued quality from Mikasa.

The dishes are going to be a Christmas gift for my son and his wife. They were married 15 years ago and had of set of this china given to them as a wedding gift. Over the years their family has grown, a few pieces have been lost or broke so for Christmas they have asked for additional place settings. Italian Countryside is a timeless pattern. It works with almost any type of decor. The entire family is very happy with this product.

The design reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. Simple, elegant, classic. Easy to dress up or down but quietly elegant regardless of the surroundings. The design is timeless and I couldn't be happier. The quality of each piece is consistent as is the color and design.

I ordered Italian Countryside ,for our new condo in Florida because my daughter received it for a wedding gift and it has held up so well. I like the clean lines....can be casual or formal...add color with placematts and napkins.

The quality of these dishes is excellent! The color is white but not bright. Its kind of an off white. Beautiful!

Great quality for the price, looks pretty, and goes with any other table color. Didn't get hot in microwave.

I received one plate that had flaw in it but customers service quickly replaced it with a good one and other than that, I really love the pattern and the quality of my dinnerware.

We love everything about our new 12 place setting of Italian Countryside dinnerware EXCEPT the cereal bowls are HUGE at 24 oz. each. No wonder we have a warped sense of serving size... Something along the lines of the fruit bowl at 10 oz. or perhaps slightly bigger would be better. To be honest, I don't know what I'll do with these bowls. I may have to purchase other bowls to use as cereal bowls. One of the salad plates was shattered when received and with one simple call to Mikassa it was replaced.

Purchased these to replace some of our chipped pieces that we have had for quite some time now. The new pieces are exact color and pattern as our old dishes however the new pieces seem to be slightly thicker (heavier) and the pattern detail is very poor. Disappointed in the quality of pattern detail and would not have purchased them if we knew of the new quality.
