I love everything about this machine, except for a couple details. The plates used in the weight stacks are not iron, steel or any other kind of metal. They are basically cement filled plastic plates. Not sure how durable these will be in the long run. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until after I almost completely built the machine and opened the weight boxes last to add the stacks to the rack. Otherwise i would have had it shipped right back. I will say this, after using it for about a week, I have had zero issues with the plates, they are quieter than iron plates. I only wish that this machine was a lot cheaper, considering they substituted iron plates for sand weights, like a whole lot cheaper. I tried researching this unit online and could'nt find one review on it anywhere so here is mine. Oh, and the name on the rack I received was not SYEDEE, it was MIKOLOS. Hope it helps you decide and also hope they lower the price for not being fully transparent on the weight plate materials.
