Let me start by saying, I’ve maybe reviewed 1 or 2 things my entire life on any platform. I think those were positive reviews. With that being said hopefully to protect others, this has been my experience.
I purchased the power rack shown in the picture, snapped straight from the Walmart app Today from the review screen. Pre purchase, I read every word of the description and looked at every picture provided. Post purchase, I used the link showing my shipment to find my way back to the product so I could clean a place out in my garage using the measurements provided, which I did. About 2-3 days after the purchase. The name/pictures/ description , everything about the product changed, BUT ONLY when I clicked the link from my purchase history. The pictures on my purchase history remained the same as what I purchased. It changed from “Mikolo Smith Machine Home Gym, 2000 lbs Power Rack Cage with Cable Crossover…” as seen in the picture attached. To “ Compact Smith Machine” shown on the assembly instructions I received post delivery.
Per the description upon purchase it included a Smith Bar and a Barbell as seen in the pictures, and it wasn’t compact at all. This is what I wanted.
Even before they delivered the wrong product I have been trying to reach their customer service. By phone, you get “the lines are busy” don’t believe me, try it yourself, 1 (866) 603-5525, I’ve called 40 times over the week and got someone once. BUT I couldn’t understand her and she couldn’t understand me. Partially because the phone was going in and out on her side and there was a massive delay and partially because she didn’t know English very well. SO I’ve been working through the email provided. They claim to be available M-F from 9AM-6PM MST, but I ONLY get a reply between 2-4MST. So far they have offered me $40 refund and a $100 refund on a product I DIDN’T WANT or PURCHASE. I’m requesting a refund now, but because I sleep at night I would expect this to take multiple more days to get anything resolved working through Mikolo.
On a positive note, the product itself seems to be good quality, if it was what I wanted. If you order here just pray they send you the right stuff because their customer service is the worst I’ve experienced. I wish you the best of luck!
PS, I will say this Walmart customer service has been great so far. They have been super accommodating and helpful. In getting this resolved. I was told if we can’t resolve this via Mikolo they will make it right on their side. We just need to give them 48-72 hours to try to get this taken care of.
