Love this lip oil! super nice and stays on well for a lip oil. I like how much it's pigmented cuz it's enough to where you can tell but not so pigmented like the nyx fat oils that it looks kinda like lip tint/stick. It has a strong fragrance which takes a bit of getting used to but it smells nice, but beware for those of you with sensitivities to strong smells. The only thing i'd change is maybe a bit more pigment so the color's there longer even when most of the lip oil is gone (I use with with the grape gushin nyx lip tint so more pigment would work better with my lip combo).
The year was 2024. I walked into a beauty supply store in my city and scored myself a deep purple lip oil. My life was changed. Unfortunately, the beauty supply store would close down months later, leaving me without access to the lip oil that I so desired. For two years now, I've been trying to find a decent lip oil that skews deep purple to black. You can find all kinds of lip oils that are pink or clear or even blue or green for some reason. However, black lip oils are difficult to find. They're virtually impossible to find at Walmart. Until Milani. So this might actually be my favorite lip oil I've ever had. It's a black base with purple and red shimmer. It works to mute the color of your natural lips down a bit and then make them shiny. If you've used the Mac Squirt in black, you already know the base color. This is actually pretty darn close. As far as color payoff goes, you don't need a lot. It's a tiny bit sticky upon application and I think that's largely to do with the fact that it's got vitamin E. After a minute or two the stickiness mostly dissipates. It migrates a tiny bit, but not nearly as bad as a lot of other lip oils do. The hang time is also surprisingly decent, though it's a lip oil, so you should just go ahead and expect to reapply it while you're out and about. I still don't know if I'd trust wearing this while eating, I think it would probably wind up all over my face if I ate a sandwich or pizza or something. While I, a goth ding dong, will absolutely wear this color year-round, I think for most people this will be the perfect fall/winter shade. It's moody, which makes it perfect for Halloween and the deep color is a nice alternative for anyone who is tired of glosses that skew baby pink or watermelon.
I love this product!! This is the 4th shade I’ve bought. I wear it every day and it’s a cute way to add moisture and shine to my lips in a low maintenance way I love. The pigment is subtle but noticeable, altho this brown shade is more on the sheer side. The only potential downside is that it does transfer but it is a lip oil so you should expect that and it doesn’t bother me. Great value for the money.
This lip oil is my new favorite. I normally struggle with dry, chapped lips but not when I use this. It leaves my lips really soft and full of moisture. I choose it over some of my more expensive glosses and balms. Love the shade (160 lychee nectar), scent and taste. I'm definitely getting more!
My favorite balm was discontinued and I have been on the hunt for a moisturizing, yummy smelling/tasting lip product for quite some time now. I’ve been through so many and honestly I pretty much gave up by the time I got this. It was recommended somewhere and several people were raving about how delicious it was so I checked the reviews and decided on the raspberry peach flavor because it seemed like the safest (most popular) bet and ugh I’m so glad I got this! My lips haven’t been this soft in forever! One of the selling points for me was people said it was moisturizing as well and that seemed a bit far fetched to me since it’s a gloss, but it was genuine. I know it moisturizes my lips because once it wears off my lips actually feel juicy, soft and supple rather than dehydrated like other products have been making them. It smells delicious, it tastes fabulous when you rub your lips together. (No I’m not eating it, I just rub my lips together a lot) The gloss provides a great shine, it isn’t sticky when applied. I love using it as a night mask and intend on looking at more Milani lip products. Thickness is wonderful as well, it’s not goopy, but it’s not thin. The product stays on the lips for at least several hours in my experience. The only thing I really dislike is the fact that the applicator is freaking HUGE. It’s so large that it makes it difficult to remove from the tube and then when I do remove it I don’t really have enough product on the wand to use without putting it back into the tube, or wrapping my lips around the wand because there’s gloss globbed to the upper portion of the wand. I’m not a fan of this and feel this needs to be addressed.
Milani Lip Oil’s do not get enough credit! They have been my favorite for years for the reasonable price point, easy accessibility of being able to purchase them at drugstores and stores like Walmart, the options to have a clear or hint of color look and the MOOOST important thing in my humble opinion, the taste! Milani Lip Oil not only smell sweet and fruity but they actually TASTE like the fruit too, which not many lip oils have, even the super expensive ones. Nothing worse to me than spending crazy amounts of money for a lip oil that might smell nice but tastes like a fruit dipped in a chemical cleaning product or something… I really enjoy this lip oil experience for that extra bit alone, not to mention the smooth supple feeling it gives my lips. If you’re new to the lip oil world, try this brand, you wont regret!
OKAY, I will DEFINITELY have to try some of the other Milani lipglosses because I have been on the HUNT. And I mean I have spent soooo much money on lipglosses that are so called “yummy” or “delicious” etc and don’t ACTUALLY have any flavor…like…they just smell good, but THIS ONE DOES! It’s not even advertised as a flavored lipgloss, but you can actually taste sweetness when you lick your lips! I’ve honestly always been obsessed with flavored lip balms / lip glosses but the only ones I’ve ever known were the lip smackers for kids, and I’m 21!! I wanted something not “crappy cheap lip balm for kids” quality, but with the same idea, and I FINALLYYYY found a brand that does that! It has a sweet little taste, and NO I don’t say that to really eat it- but I just like when you give your man a kiss he can taste it, or even if you just want to lick your lips and taste it- it’s sweet! I literally love this so much! OH! And it’s SO PRETTY! Definitely recommend!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice color and texture. Adds a youthful plumpy finish to my more mature lips. The negative which does not affect the product is the barcode and information sticker placement. It brings the product experience down because after you take off the sticker there is a sticky residue left behind.
I enjoyed Milani's Fruit Fetish lip oil in 160 Lychee Nectar. I generally wear pinks & mauves, but this lip oil has opened me up to browns & vampy deep berries. The oil feels good on the lips; it has a nice applicator. I found it not too sticky or textured. It does require reapplication every hour or so, but it's too pretty to feel like an inconvenience. I recommend this product in this color.
Bought this because someone recommended it on Facebook but I did not care for the color. It was very light and it doesn’t stay on. Gave it away instead.
