This is a great, simple tool.

I've used this drill guide in the past as a post hole drill for timber framing construction among several other uses and it does quite well with forstner bits as with being used as a depth stop for regular drilling applications. I've also learned that the same company makes a half inch chunk that I may consider in the near future. A great alternative to freehand drilling and you can imagine with could go wrong there.

When you need portable, or don't own a drill press, this can come in very handy in a lot of ways.

The milescraft 1318 Drillmate is a great entry level portable drill press for those who don't have a drill press or like me who have a drill press but my project is yo large to drill with a drill press. I put a mew drill bit in it and checked it for square with a small DFM square and it was right on. I will probably use this tool often.

The item works good, but the part holding the drill is a bit wobbly. The three stars is because the shipping condition was horrible. The product was not in the product box. Obviously it should have been taped.

Missing part. No spring included.
