Definitely for horror %26 suspense fans.
If you like horror %26 suspense, this trilogy is for you. The first Mimic was directed by Guillermo del Toro (who is a creative genius %26 superb at creating the fantastical), and the creature special effects are absolutely astonishing. The movie starts out with a devastating disease caused by roaches which is killing children %26 the doctor who creates a genetically-engineered insect with mantis %26 ant DNA to eradicate the roaches, which is successful but creates creatures that end up being a greater threat to all humans. Mimic 2 resumes where the first movie ended, delving deeper into the aftermath of the genetically-engineered mutations. Mimic 3 has more of an undertone of suspense, forging tension through its dark mood and the sense of dread %26 foreboding revolving around the characters, keeping you immersed in the storyline. Overall, the trilogy is a unique storyline with amazing special effects %26 good actors.
