DIANA October 6, 2025

The Mimik Kolinsky Synthetic water brush set does a great job on my watercolors. The only thing I had a lot of trouble with was getting the cap off the large brush. When I finished using it, I didn't put the cap on completely. Hopefully over time, the cap will loosen a little.

The waterbrush of my dreams

Amanda April 24, 2026

For a long time, I have wanted to love using waterbrushes because of how easy they make it to paint outdoors. There's no need to bring separate containers of water, no figuring out how to hold these containers when painting, and there's no dirty water to deal with afterwards. A watercolor setup with a waterbrush can be extremely minimalistic and lightweight. The biggest annoyance I've faced with using waterbrushes are the plastic-y bristles that don't hold much paint and don't form a great point. Lately, I have been looking into ways to carry water, so I can use the synthetic sable brushes that I love using at home. Because of this, I was excited to come across this waterbrush with similar synthetic sable brushes tips. The points on these brushes have been great so far and they hold wayyy more paint than the standard plastic bristles. The painting experience is excellent. The cap also actually secures well to the end of the barrel, unlike some waterbrushes. Btw anyone having trouble with taking the cap off should try carefully rocking the cap from side to side as they pull. It'll come off with no issues. I'd love to see these brushes in more shapes, like a flat, as well as in bigger sizes. The are also a few brush hairs that are really short and end up sticking out from the rest of the hairs that make it look a little cheap.

Waiting patiently to get the other sizes

CYNTHIA October 18, 2025

This is NOT like other filamint type water brushes!! Springs about like my Princeton Aqua Elite size 6, but for travel. Def going in my backpacking setup!

New generation water brushes are superb

MEILIN November 12, 2025

Fantastic news generation of water brushes love the super fine tip on the synthetic Linky hairs. Fabulous water control. All nylon water brushes are now obsolete.

Best water brush for watercolor

MARGOT October 11, 2025

Definitely the best water brush I have ever used. If it ever comes in square, dagger, or deerfoot I would immediately buy. Love!

Great brush

TRACIE October 16, 2025

I'm sure this brush would have been a joy to paint with. Unfortunately it got lost after I opened it checked out the sharp point.

They look good, but are useless for most painters

EMMA November 1, 2025

I was very disappointed in the product. The calf is almost impossible to get to get open. I struggled and struggled with it, twisting pulling, and still couldn't get it off. I had a friend who has stronger hands and he had difficult getting it open then putting it back to shut off so the water won't leak then it was I can't use it
