MindWare Mega Marble Run 215 Piece Elevator Building Set, Includes 200 Track Pieces, 40 Marbles Plus Motorized Elevator

My grandkids have a smaller kit and really enjoy playing with it. I decided to buy a bigger kit. I found the 215 piece kit. I noticed there is a 400 piece kit which I plan to buy for Christmas 2026.

The marble run is a lot of fun! My daughter, who is eight, and I have created some pretty intense systems. She is able to see when things don't work out and is also able to solve the issues with her own ideas. She loves it! We did purchase the the elevator expansion pack also and it really adds so much fun!

This was requested by one of my 8 year old twin grandsons. They already have a smaller version of the marble run but no elevator. They started assembling the marble run right away, and they were thrilled at the number of marbles in the package. Their Dad had to help them with the elevator. It was a little tricky but they got it working. The only problem was stability but it was on a not-too-level brick patio, so we expect it will be better at home on a flat uncarpeted floor.

The marble run was a smash hit at Christmas for my grandsons, aged 7 and 10. There are so many combinations that you can make, and it really exercises creativity. The boys really enjoyed watching the physics of the marbles going through the various pathways. The motorized marble elevator really added to the fun. It kept them entertained for days.

I ordered the marble run and motorized elevator for my four-year-old granddaughter. Her dad, now an engineer, loved a marble works set he had when he was about her age. What a perfect gift for them both! They got busy creating spectacular designs, then improving them and trying to make them "the best ever"! I understand that he had an issue with the elevator and it was replaced immediately, at no cost to him or me. I hadn't ordered from MindWare, but I definitely will be ordering again!

This was a gift for my 7 year old Grandson and he loves it. He has redesigned his course a couple of time. It is currently going down the side of the basement steps to give the course more elevation and to add to the speed of the marbles. He has two sets and would love even more. The Elevator is an especially nice but it does go through the batteries.

I bought 3 sets of these for my grandchildren for Christmas. They all love them and their parents love setting them up with the children in new formations!

The marble tubes were fine and went together without any problems. The motorized marble elevator however, was impossible to operate following the directions that accompanied this set. It took a telephone call to he company and different directions given over the phone to get it to operate the way it was intended to operate. The proper instructions should have been included with the set. If I hadn't called the company, I would have had to return it to Mindware for a refund.

In theory and by the pictures, this Mega Marble Run is fabulous. However, many of the pieces don't fasten together well so fall apart while others are being added. The wheels are shown to fit into the semicircular clear pieces, but we have not figured out how yet. There are no diagrams, directions, or suggestions. Still, so far, our 6 year-old grandson is interested, but he will have to have adult help.

We are very disappointed with the marble run set. My son wanted to build the marble run as pictured on the box and there are NO directions on how to put it together. We tried ‘eye balling' it and it is lop sided and uneven so he can hardly play with it. Some kids may want to build freely but directions should be provided if you would rather assemble the marble run as pictured. We are pretty upset as it is unusable at this point and we spent over $70. :(
