I received the MINECRAFT EARTH BOOST 2-PACK Figures 2 days ago and my child LOVES it. Not only is it a game (when you scan the the bottom of the figures) But the imagination opportunity is endless. The figures are well crafted with no sharp edges and are beloved Minecraft characters. These would be great for party favors as well. After scanning the bottom, my child has played the online game non stop. My child also proudly put the figurines next to his computer for all to see. I got a set of these for my Minecraft-obsessed 7 year-old. He absolutely LOVES them and is begging for the others in the series. There's a bonus/code that you can activate in the game. I received these figures about two weeks ago. My kids both play minecraft. One on a PC the other on a PS4. The little figures are cute, the problem is it says to scan the code to boost your game. This is for an app? I thought my daughter would enjoy this but she must be too limited in Minecraft knowledge to know its complete purpose. While she plays on the XBox, this was the first time with Minecraft Earth on the phone. Took a few times to get it the phone to read the boost. Then she played and she was unsure of what the purpose was of the toy. The box doesn't give much detail to using it aside from how to scan it. She saw extra time and a percentage of life, but since she is new to this specific version, she did not fully understand. I would say you need more knowledge of the game to benefit. On the other hand, the figure is cute and she is happy to have it and keep it in her room.
