This thing is Great! Really cuts through thick branches and jeers from having to get the saw out. It's battery charged with two chain sizes and a protective guard on top of the chain. I work in our yard a lot and it's nice to have my own tools instead of my husband and this really is a nice addition to my tools.
Quality made mini chainsaw, durable. This mini chain saw is a very convenient handheld tool, great for small jobs of cutting up limbs or small wood. Easy to use, cuts great. Has a safety feature, you have to hold both buttons at the same time for it to work. Battery charges pretty quickly. Lightweight and great for a woman to use for small jobs as oppose to a larger saw. It was easy to assemble and the tools to do so were included. I highly recommend.
This handheld chainsaw is the tool every household needs to have! It's lightweight, battery operated so there are no cords to fuss with and it's pretty powerful especially considering it's compact size! I have several crape myrtle trees in my backyard that have lots of new troth at the base of them and I used this handheld chainsaw to trim them all right up! Highly recommend this product.
This is a pretty good mini chainsaw. I really like that it is cordless and does not requite gas at all. The battery life is pretty good for it to be a mini chain saw. As far as hand placement, it fits my hand perfect and I am able to control this saw very well. This is very handy when it comes to smaller limbs that are within reach. Also very handy for any trees or anything that is 4 inches or less. Overall a great little saw to have on hand.
I was wondering if this would really measure up to my expectation, which weren't astronomical, but, it really did measure up. I cuts well, battery was strong the whole time, very pleased. Only thing worth mentioning is that I was using it to prune a couple of trees and it's awkward to operate left handed, or at some angles that are easier when pruning. That's because of the safety that has to be held in with your thumb. It's sort of necessary problem to keep it safe while in use.
I had a little trouble assembling it, but once I figured it out, I was fine. I finally figured out how to loosen the guide pin and then tighten it. I suggest putting the cover on before you tighten it or you will get frustrated trying to hold the chain still. I was impressed with this little saw. I have an electric 18" chain saw (cord) but I wanted something I could handle with one hand for smaller trees and branches and pruning. It does a great job cutting small limbs and branches. Don't try anything bigger than an inch, it will take forever! The only downside is it doesn't automatically oil the chain so you'll need to get an oil squirter to keep the chain lubricated or it will wear out prematurely. This device isn't for the clumsy. You can injure yourself if not careful with it but such is the case with any chainsaw.
Rather difficult to get the proper tension on the blade. As soon as I thought I had it, I tried it out and it shut down because the blade had too much slack. Played around with it but still trying to achieve the right tension to use. Very frustrating at times. When turned on it works fine; as soon as you touch a small limb, the chain loosens. I'm hopeful!!
Strike 1: I don't think consumers should have to put a CHAIN SAW together themselves. This would have been a decent product if it had come already assembled. But it has too many pieces to put together, and as such, more room for error. Getting the chain on and having to tighten the tension screw at the same time was quite difficult and time-consuming. Strike 2: Once I managed to assemble the product and charge the battery, it barely ran. I had to keep smacking the bottom of it with my other hand, and then it would run only for a second or two. Maybe I'd set the tension on the chain too tight? But then again, why would the sharp blade chain have to be loose on a chain saw? I was NOT taking the chance of loosening the chain. Very very frustrating. Strike 3: When I managed to get the chain saw running, it did not cut properly. The fig branch was only about an inch or less in diameter, and it stripped the bark rather than cutting through it. It doesn't have enough power or rpms or torque or whatever. Eventually, it did cut through the branch, then I tried a couple more branches, but by the end of this ordeal I was mentally and physically exhausted. I ended up finishing the job with my long-handle pruning shears. Voila! I thought this little chain saw would be perfect for an amateur who's never owned a chain saw. Bad experience - very disappointed. Will never try this again.
Saw was defective.......didn't work. When i returned it to Walmart, they wouldn't refund $$ because this was a third party purchase......even though I purchased it on Walmart's website. They said I have to wait until THAT company refunds me the $$.
I was really excited to get this in the mail. I have a few small trees on my property that I like to trim annually and I'm not really fond of power tools, but a small handheld saw like this, I could handle. The moment I got it, I read the instructions, assembled it, and charged the battery overnight. Or at least I thought I did. I tried it the next day (over 24 hrs of charge time), and it didn't work. I double checked the assembly and inspected the battery. Apparently there was a design flaw in the battery/charger. I will not charge because it cannot charge. WHY? Because the charger can reach and make contact with the battery down in the port. I have to physically jam it down and HOLD it down for it to charge. I'm not going to hold the plug down for 2+ hrs (according to the manual) for it to charge.
