I got this set for my grandson's six-year-old birthday. It looks like it will be difficult at that age. But I'm sure he will love the concept of the bait shop. I can't wait to see if he can follow the directions, which are illustrated so he won't struggle with reading. But there are many many steps! He'll probably need some help or return to work on it several times. Pieces look cute and are nicely organized. A fun gift.
This model Bait and Tackle Shop has 427 pieces and is interchangeable with Lego. It is very detailed with many small touches, such as a little red crab and white smoke from the chimney. Six year olds will need assistance with all the tiny parts and complex directions. Older fishing aficionados will take about three to four hours to complete the build.
I bought the Brick Loot Mini City Bait %26 Tackle Shop set thinking, “Ah yes, a peaceful little fishing store… how wholesome.” What I actually got was a full-blown soap opera in brick form. First off, the build itself is surprisingly detailed. Tiny fishing rods, bait displays, and little accessories that made me feel like I should be paying property tax on this thing. At one point I dropped a piece and spent 15 minutes on the floor questioning my life choices—so you know it's legit. But let's talk about the real story here: this shop has drama. Why does the shopkeeper look like he knows something? Why is there only one fish on display? Where are the rest? WHO BOUGHT THEM, and why do I suspect it was shady? Also, the scale is hilarious. The fish are basically the size of the shop's entire weekly income. Either these are legendary trophy fish or this business is laundering money through worms. Super fun and relaxing build (until you lose a 1x1 piece and spiral) Great details for such a small set Instantly makes you want to build an entire tiny city around it Small pieces have a personal vendetta against your carpet Now I feel emotionally invested in a fictional bait shop owner Came for a cute fishing store, stayed for the unexpected storyline and mild existential crisis. Would absolutely buy again—my tiny plastic citizens deserve a thriving local fishing economy.
My son and are are collecting THEM ALL!!! We have the art store, bowling alley, haunted house %26 cafe! We are making an affordable little mini city with these Brick Loot sets!
I got this hoping to impress my little grandson that his grandma could indeed put together a 427 piece mini brick kit. When he remakes it (for the fun of it) I'll keep it for display as table top decor because it is very cute and so unique.
easy to assemble blocks and very sturdy once put together. Bait shop different from other block sets and very affordable. The only detractor is the same as all block toys....they hurt when stepped on barefooted.
cant tell the difference in the brand nephew loved receiving this as a gift took him about an hr to put it together
Very pleased with this set. It has a lot of detail. Small pieces but perfect for a teen or young adult project!
This was a creative and fun build. My second mini-model in this series. I love these smaller, quicker builds. Bright colors, unique use of bricks, and challenging in some areas. I build bricks to keep my finger dexterity, my brain agile, and my eye hand coordination going. Best of all, once I get all the models, I'll have a whole town! What fun for my grandchildren. Kids 6-7 will need some help with this model, but a great gift!
