Minions [DVD], Feature, Animated Feature

The movie was very adorable, as you see how they came about before working for Gru. From the previous movies, you think they were some sort of lab creation rather than an evolved creature. It is the story of 3 minions (Kevin, Bob, and Stewart) who go out to find a new boss. You definitely see each minion's individual personality more than the previous movies. Kids will definitely enjoy all their little antics as they try to become evil, but they always seem to fail. The movie did have some sequel syndrome, where some of the tricks were over the top.

Sometimes I think the Minions have more adults than children among their fans. For the unenlightened, Minions are cute, funny, easily distracted, and have a special fondness for potty humor and photocopying their butts. They laugh a lot. And they're absolutely loyal. This movie explains the origins of the Minions from single-cell organisms at the beginning of time, emerging to serve their first master--a T-Rex. Minions were created to serve—but finding a master is easy. Keeping one is another story. They almost immediately cause the demise of the T-Rex...and it's all downhill from there. From dropping a pyramid on the Pharaoh to waking Dracula for an early morning birthday surprise involving sunlight to inadvertently aiming a cannon at Napoleon, the well-meaning Minions prove a hazard to villains throughout time. Finally, they go into hiding in an ice cave in Antarctica. Over time, however, they become deeply depressed by their lack of purpose. Kevin, the leader of the tribe and the smartest of the Minions, realizes they may not survive. He decides to leave the ice caves and go out into the world to find the Minions a new master. Accompanied by Stuart and youngster Bob, he sets off on a journey that lands the trio in New York City in the '60s. They hitch a ride to Orlando with a family of bank robbers (Michael Keaton and Allison Janney voice the parents). There, while attempting to rescue his teddy bear in a mob of eager villains, Bob ends up winning a competition to serve the world's first female supervillain, Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock). She and her inventor husband, Herb (Jon Hamm), take the Minions home to their castle. A female supervillain who's gone the evil route because she was denied her childhood dreams of being a princess....a castle that looks suspiciously like the one at Disney World.... Scarlet orders the Minions to steal the crown of the Queen of England. She wants to be Queen, and plans to take over the country. Herb equips them with some of his inventions, and they nearly succeed...until an attempt by little Bob to save himself and his buddies from the palace guards fulfills an ancient legend and Bob is declared King. Scarlet is furious and accuses the Minions of betrayal. They immediately give her the crown and declare her Queen, but she responds by imprisoning them. They escape, and while their fellow Minions travel the world to find them, the trio look for a way to stop Scarlet. Do they succeed? There are some more surprises at the End, but I'll save that for you to watch at the theatres.

This is a movie for everyone, kids and adults. One of those movies you'll watch over and over. Enough humor to keep adults interested and laughing without being something to worry about for the kids.

I thought this movie was very cute. All ages would like this movie. Note, this is not your ordinary children's movie. I didn't see any life lesson that was taught. I think this movie was just for giggles. The minions are very adorable. Nonetheless, a must see at least once :)

Minions the movie is an incredible prologue to the Despicable Me franchise. This heartwarming and captivating journey brings the minions around the world in search of their new ‘evil boss'. Kevin, Stuart, and Bob will captivate you with their quirky reminder of three stooges, while bringing a familiarity from previous movies. This movie is a highly recommended movie for all ages. Both young and old will enjoy the heart felt journey of how the minions become MINONS. GO BOB!

This movie was great, super funny with a classic twist. Unlike the past movies that minions have been in there is different feel as you don't have the evil person always around with them. In this movie they're out looking for an evil boss to follow and devote themselves too. After 1000s of miles traveling they find one but in Minion style mess it up. Enjoyable for all ages and a home run movie... PS: Don't order a large soda or water as don't want to take a bio break and missing something!!

Great movie for the whole family

This movie was so cute! I am so excited I got to see it=) I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole movie. I fell in love with the minions even more, especially with Stuart, Kevin, and Bob. They are sooo cute! Must watch!

What a great movie! The intro was one of my favorite parts of the entire movie as it was so cleverly put together. The makers did a great job staying true to the minions demeanor in previous movies and successfully transitioned them into the main character. A must own and will be buying mine today.
