[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I need small and attractive lights to flank the door of a small enclosed porch, and these fit the bill nicely. I wanted dark-sky compliant, SIMPLE design, which is what I got. They make a nice, raking light down the wall. I choose this rather than the LED version because I want to keep the lights for a long time. I can install GU-10 LEDs in these when the halogens burn out, and I wasn't sure what options the dedicated LED model would provide. The light is bright but not glaring. I didn't rate quality as I don't feel qualified to do so but give product overall 5 stars because it seems to be of high quality material and elegant design for a reasonable price.

I wanted to put on a screen door, and the existing light was a monstrosity. I needed a low profile light so that I could open the door when I put one on. The fixture is to specs. My problem in the placement of the original fixture (too close to the door) and the type of siding (slanted). I think this will work, though. Just can't open the door ALL the way.

Wow! This was exactly what I was looking for to light the stairs below French doors. There was no room on the side of the doors because they open out but I needed the area lit because the doors open to 5 stairs. We looked at canned lights in the eaves and several others....nothing looked right. I took a chance on this and it's great. It works perfectly as a down light over that door. I actually got another one for over a window and it looks great

Installed this attractive, understated and smallish fixture on each side of entry door. Provides good lighting for sidewalk and stairs approaching house without blinding them or passersby on public sidewalk. Like another commentator, I got this vs the LED fixture so as to be able to replace bulbs (with LED bulbs!). Just made first replacement after more than a year of leaving on all night, and had no trouble. Note to those with lap siding: bought an item at local Menard's made specifically for mounting light fixtures in that situation. It was inexpensive and blends perfectly with siding.

I mounted these on a side wall to light up the back door to the patio. I have 2 steps and they can be tricky in any darkness/light. With my regular light the glare through the side glass was blinding people going in and out of the kitchen creating a serious trip hazard. These lights give enough lighting for the entire landing area plus the 2 steps. I also hook them up to a slide dimmer for my wife (a prerequisite for any light in our house). OUTSTANDING!!!

We bought these lights because we wanted something that faced down. They were easy to install and the light really pops off the house. An added bonus is that they are Dark Sky compliant. A great buy!

Low profile subtle lights in the dark brown finish that's been hard to find. Exactly what we wanted. Down-directed light avoids the glare of lenses on a porch used at nighttime. Uses halogens--would have preferred incandescent because of bulb cost--but they work just fine. Some may think there is not enough light. BUT we wanted low, non-glary light so it's perfect on our deck. Easy to install. Most important features to us--color, non-glare, low profile

I like the look of these and they work reasonably well, but the bulbs were difficult to get working properly. They are the "two pin" type base rather than screw in and it took a lot jiggering them around to get them to actually work.
