Minn Kota 1352156 Endura MAX 55 lb Thrust Freshwater Transom Mount Trolling Motor, 42" Shaft

I say by as much thrust as you can afford. This product has awesome battery life on a 12 v see cycle and plenty of power. It will immediatley correct my direction on an aluminum 14 ft surf side. Did very well on a flooded river with very strong currents. In a regular lake pond setting this will push me easy at 12 mph. Awesome. Really no complaints.

Works exactly as specified. However, Minn Kota are being a bit measly by not including the 'mandatory' 60A fuse and the cord length is too short for most practical applications however. Running, it's super quiet (so quiet we had a feathery friend jump on board the boat while we were trolling!)... it pushed our 5.0m boat at 2 kts running at 75%. I love it!

We took this trolling motor out twice in 2 weeks and it has performed above and beyond anything we could have expected !! Each time we spent about 8 hours on the water with nothing but this Minn Kota trolling motor to move us around with a 27DC Marine battery on full charge. The battery should have only had enough power to allow us to troll for 2-3 hours max but with this Minn Kota and the Minn Kota Power Supply box that came with it, we were able to go all day while trolling about 60% of our time and manage to only use less than 1/2 of the available charge from the battery. This Minn Kota extends the life of the battery from a single charge by 400 -500% easily. I LOVE this thing !!!

I bought this for a 21' deep v-hull boat and it is probably underpowered for the application but works rather well considering. On a smaller boat it would be more than adequate. So far it works great. It came with Minn Kota's battery box as a combo which is a nice piece of kit.

Really pleased with this trolling motor especially the infinite variable speed. One note as I only use trolling motor on my small aluminum pontoon boat only have one battery so the trolling motor and Garmin fish finder share battery. The variable speed caused interference on the screen. Solved problem by putting a ground wire from Negative on battery to boat frame. Working great!

Excellent little motor. I've had the Endura C2- 40lb thrust which was good. These EnduraMax's new features are excellent. Very nice to know remaining battery power, and the additional power is great. Love how the "throttle" is not limited to only 5 speeds. My only complaint is that the throttle gets a bit stuck and doesn't return back to off easily. Maybe just be a bit of a defect on this particular machine as I noticed the pin didn't lock in well when assembling the throttle handle. It moved inside the joint a little bit. Not a big deal.

This trolling motor was shipped from Minn Kota's packaging facility with a broken prop. We searched the packaging to find the piece for contacting Minn Kota and there was nothing! Contacted Minn Kota and they shipped a new one with tracking number the next day. Great response from Minn Kota.

Prop was broken on arrival. I picked up a replacement at Bass Pro on my own due to absolute need for motor on day of arrival. Motor is very loud which makes me think the trauma to box causing prop to break also damaged the motor. Issue is delivery and handling of product rather than product itself although packaging is likely a factor.

Noisy and vibrates excessively. I returned the motor to Walmart store for credit.
