Riptide 113
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this trolling motor. Pulls my boat great just wish it would come in different shaft lengths.

Happy with Riptide durability
Just bought a new Fortrex Riptide 80 to replace the one I got with my new Whaler in 2012. The original one lasted 13 years of hard Southwest Florida saltwater use and performed admirably as evidenced by me buying another just like it.

Disappointed in quality control Minn Kota
I bought a 36 volt Riptide Fortrex for my new boat and had nothing but problems with it . The electronics in the top went out and I lost all forward thrust. It was fixed by the dealer and now it made a loud screeching noise in reverse. Three lower units were tried and all three made the loud noise. Next the electronics in the top went out again and I lost all forward thrust for the second time in a month. I give the troll motor one star only because there was nothing lower that I could pick . Truly Minn Kota can do better than this . The dealer I bought this from was fantastic and did everything humanly possible to make it right but the product was a disaster from day one. I will never buy Minn Kota again and presently using a 20 year old Motor Guide Hand Control and it works perfect everyday. Shame on you guys at Minn Kota and your quality control.
