[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love Minwax polyurethane. We build log furniture and always love giving that bare wood a nice coats that brings out the beauty of the wood. It's like watching candy being handmade. It's just so satisfying. We have been using Minwax for 25+ years and love their line of stains and polyurethanes. You can't go wrong.
This is a great Minwax top coat that works great with the Minwax stain I used first! I just followed the easy directions on both products. The results were as they said! I could not be happier with the final results. . .
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brings out natural beauty of the wood, and protects it fast in humid environments! A must have around on hand for most projects.much faster and easier than high gloss.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The finish is nice, but I have a couple of issues with the spray can. The first is that when you spray a horizontal surface you have to hold the can horizontal and that leads to sputtering that messes up the finish. The second problem just happened with my most recent purchase where it started leaking at the base of the spray nozzle. I got varnish all over my hand and the drips fell on my project and created flaws I had to sand out.
Never delivered or received - got a credit refund
I purchased on Oct. 22nd there was no comunication from seller until I made a complaint to Walmart. Product was supposed to be delivered within a week, still no updates from seller, finally was delivered to Post office but still no update...purchase price was higher than in store...only reason I purchased it online was due to Walmart being out of stock. Worst experience I have had to date
I am in the process of finishing cabinets, I have put 2 coats on them and am not happy at all. I am not getting the finish I am trying to achieve. Almost 2o years ago I used the same product or so I am being told from the store in which I purchased this product. I am using now the premium oil fast drying polyurethane warm semi gloss and before I used the fast-drying polyurethane superior durability clear semi- gloss. What I am trying to figure out has the product changed that much?
I used Minwax Fast Drying Polyurethane on a beautiful piece of wood used as a coffee bar. I watched several videos on application before my attempt. After opening the can I stirred it out. There was a thick sludge at the bottom of the can about 3/4” deep. After stirring the sludge into solution. I applied the first coat and after drying it was beautiful. I prepared for the second coat. When stirring I noticed there as not a sludge layer on the bottom of the can. I Continued to stir to the same consistency as the previous day. After Sanding and wiping with a dust cloth I started applying the second coat. Unfortunately the second coat did not produce the same results. It seemed to separate into clumps. I tried to smooth the coat but it continued to produce a rough texture. I finished the coat and let it dry. The poly never smoothed out. It looked terrible so I had to sand it off. Now I don't know what to do. Very disappointed.
