Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane Aerosol Clear High Gloss 11.5-Oz

This is a great product for outdoor use. My deck was recently stained and sealed a few years ago, but the sun was already starting to dull the seal. Sprayed a bunch of cans of this product over the dull areas, and it came back nice and shiny. Resists UV rays so it will last a long time. Product does not dry hard. It expands and contracts with the wood so it won't crack and peel off. Takes 2 coats to do the job. Makes a deck look new again. Time will tell how long it lasts. The sun is relentless on any coating. Coverage per can was exceptional. Price was great.

I use it exclusively in making my Halloween projects because it protects better outside under rain, heat, humidity and harsh sunlight more so than regular polyurethane sprays.

Always one of the best. Read directions carefully. 2nd coat has to be applied within an hour -45 or have to sand first coat!

Always use minwax for any project involving raw wood.

I tried both the aerosolize spray and varnish in the can. The spray goes on faster but does't penetrate as deep and requires a refresh coat sooner. The spray requires sanding between coats to get a smooth even look. If you are just trying for protection from rain and sun the spray works fine. It is definitely easier to do than using the brush and varnish method.

Your inventory said you had 7 in stock. You had only 2 and then told me I would have th eother 3 cans within 2 days and you had none at the warehouse. Still delayed until several days later you cancelled the order and then said it would be up to 10 days to get my refund. Extremely unacceptable service. I needed these cans for an urgent wedding gift order and this caused me to have to drive 45 miles to find some. With todays technology you ought to do much better. A $10 online credit is not acceptable for the hassle this caused me. This was my first time using the delivery service, I will not be using it again. It is not dependable and I cannot risk it.

Ordered and paid for product, never received. Delivery image is leg of person delivered. Effort involved in talking to 800 number to deal with a $12 purchase not worth the time.
