Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish, Clear Satin, Clear, 1/2 Pint

I grew up watching my Mom use Minwax Polycrylic Protective Finish, Clear Satin, Clear, 1/2 Pint on items she'd refinished. So, when I read reviews with complaints about how easy a new dining room table I'd purchased was easily scratched and difficult to clean, I decided to try this. It turned out perfect. The Minwax Polycrylic had little odor, was easy to apply, dried quickly between coats, and is crystal clear! I rolled it on with a foam roller to avoid brush marks. I won't buy another brand, thanks Mom and thanks Minwax.

watch out for size. i bought this in past didnt know about a small container. it was around the cost I paid it $1.50 /- more but figure it would be but i got a baby food jar size.

I recently added contact paper to my countertops and needed it to repel water. I used this poly acrylic in 5 thin coats with a light sanding in between coats. I honestly didn't even smell it. I had a window open but not once while applying did it bother me and I'm here to tell you I have a very sensitive nose. Also, here's a hack. If you struggle with strokes being left on your piece use a magic eraser. It works perfect. I just lined a paper plate with aluminum foil and poured out a little at a time for the coat I needed. Laid the sponge face down and then applied it in a vertical back and forth motion. Worked perfectly. The sheen of satin is very pretty. 1/2 of a pint was enough to do five things coats to 28sq ft. It also dried quickly.

They're rather small, but was big enough to get the job done on my dresser. It made a nice smooth top and just a few bubbles. Had a bit of a scent, but not as much as an oil finish does. Would definitely buy this again should I ever need another top coat.

PRICE TOO HIGH! 3 STAR RATE - PRODUCT 5 *. CAN BE BOUGHT AT OTHER PLACES FOR AT LEAST 4-5 $ CHEAPER. WALMART GETTING EXPENSIVE AND ABSOLUTELY HATE THE NEW DELIVERY SCAM - GETTING LIKE AMAZON - BAD BAD BAD. An AMERICAN ICON GOING IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.

Minwax Polycrylic Clear Satin has become my go-to topcoat for furniture and craft projects. It brushes on smoothly, dries quickly, and leaves a clean, even finish without yellowing. I got half of the can! It was half filled %26 did not look like it was opened. I thought it felt too light. Very dissappointed in Walmart. Great product though!

it turned my white paint yellow when I applied it. I had to repaint everywhere I had put the poly crylic and that frustrated me tremendously. I will never use it again.

i wish i had read these reviews prior to purchasing. I have white spots (the maghony wood dried for a day) I dont know what to do with this table. I applied this sealer over your wood conditoner. Now I have whte spots, I applied with foam brush. Product stayed milky white.
