It is easy to use, a great value for the price and my plants far exceeded my expectations-the plants flourished. I mixed the Sphagnum with new top soil, it was easy to use, gave the roots a great soil structure to grow, held water well, and I have reordered for Fall planting.
Ready to use. Not necessary to soak and break apart like the usual form of peat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great amendment to lighten my heavily compacted clay soil improving its texture and consistency. This peat manages water more efficiently and will keep other vital nutrients from leaching out of the soil, too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this Peat moss I used it in some potted plants and around my flowers I have in the ground and the vegetables that I have in the ground and it really helps with keeping the plants moist and making them really grow nice. Also I liked how well the Peat moss comes out of the bag easily without any problems. All of these words are my own and I got this product for free for my review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to buy the large bales of peat moss. Since they were dry and compressed, moistening the peat was a chore. Not so, with the Miracle-Gro Sphagnum Peat Moss... it absorbed water quickly and easily. I really like the fact that the peat moss contains Miracle-Gro Plant Food. You can see tiny spheres of the fertilizer throughout the mix. The bag is a good size for the home gardener. I mixed some of this into patio pots and into the garden soil as well, and I think it is a great quality product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just planed my wife's Mothers Day flowers using Enriched Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss and could not be happier with the mix. Combined with Scott's potting and garden soils and came up with a very rich healthy mix. On the very first watering the soil/peat moss mix held the moisture perfectly. I tilled it into our clay heavy flower garden along with a bit of Scott's garden soil and planting this year went very well. I'm confident the flowers will do well no matter what the weather bring us this year.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The big surprise was how big this bag was when it arrived. I have found the consistency and texture to be flawless. It is well mixed and a pleasure to handle and work with. I have used it in plantings with potting soil, in my compost area and in my transplanting jobs. It works very well with seed plantings as well in that it holds moisture so well. Also, it has plant food built in so all-in-all it is a superior product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for mixing with clay soil. I always use it when making flower beds with my tiller. Make the soil so much workable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this on top of newly planted grass for some spots that I was fixing. I was hesitant at first because it says its for plants, but I thought I would give it a shot with grass. I haven't noticed any major differences between this and normal pete moss. So far so good.
Hope it works in the area I used it.
