Miracle-Gro Expand 'N Gro Concentrated Planting Mix .67 CF 2 Pack

First time we have tried this product and we love it! Used it to till in new soil base for our garden and potted plants, provides volume and water retention along with steady fertilization. Highly recommend, follow directions closely for bedt results.

Planted some late corn in my garden July 27 in slightly muddy ground. The ground was too muddy to spread the dirt back over the kernels, so I got the bag of Miracle-Gro Expand 'N Gro & used it to cover the kernels of corn. I Immediately started my regime of daily watering and every kernel was up by July 31!

We buy this every year for the new season. Unlike some in the reviews, we've never been disappointed... but I think we use this product differently. We dump the bag into a large bin, and add several gallons of water, stirring and fluffing until it absorbs. Then we add a small amount (several tablespoons) of the water retaining crystals. And THEN we add in three bags of standard Miracle Gro potting soil. This has been our go-to for flowers and any veggies we grow in containers. The Expand 'n Gro allows our potting soil to go farther than it might otherwise, and the water crystals keep the pots from drying out. I have everything from green beans to corn - AND many flowering plants and herbs - in containers, and we have thus far always been thrilled with the results we get!

Excellent product. Although the directions say mix half soil/half water I found you needed more water. Filled many patio pots with the soil and added flowers today.

I was skeptical at first Right now I am watching the newly planted roses, and it looks like they are doing well. I will be ordering more.

I purchased this soil as I have back issues and the lighter bag was appealing. I was disappointed that there were no practical instructions other than "fill pot 1/3 and add water - mix and wait to expand" essentially. So,I turned to Chat GPT for help. Per that advice, I've added 1.5 bags to each 10 gal grow bag and added 1.5 gallons water gradually - mixing well each time water added. This expanded the soil to fill about 1/2 of each grow bag. It's been over an hour now and still no further expansion. I've fluffed up again, and still no additional expansion. The soil still feels wet - so I'll leave it overnight and I hope to wake up to see fully expanded soil. Per Chat GPT the 1.5 bags should fill the grow bags leaving about 2" at the top. So - 3 stars for the light-weight nature of the soil and good name of Miracle Gro. Minus the 2 stars for lack of helpful directions and the fact it's not performing as expected.

Disappointed. Thought there was enough to fill 20 gallon pot. Filled less than halfway up. Glad I bought when it was on sale. Not worth it. Should have bought regular Miracle Gro. Could have filled pot for half the price Returning the other one I bought

Did not expand as advertised

Expensive and barely expands. Waste of money. Could have gotten 3 bags of soil for the price of this one. I would take it back if I could.

Does not seem to expand. Only surface gets wet then need to turn the soil. Was expecting it to fill up, but has not expanded at all.
