This works great . My plants are happy and no need to fertilize for 6 minths. I find it great for starting perennial cuttings in the Spring to plant in the Fall.

Wow, what a great buy when this is on sale! I planted many plants on getting another bag. Miracle Grow is good potting soil.

I made the mistake of buying a store brand potting mix last year. Never again! This soil is worth every penny and especially at the great price at Sam's Club sells it for. My flowers grow exceptionally well with this soil.

Diverse organic mixture of composted bark and coir, but little to no nutrients. Add your own perlite to improve drainage or peat to increase water retention depending on the plants being grown.

You will want a shopping cart for this to save your back on the way to the checkout because it's a big honking, heavy parcel. I couldn't wait to get this home to fill up a large plant pot which ended up being bigger than I expected when I started to fill it. Upon opening the bag, I noticed that it had a distinct smell...kind of an earthy aroma. On close inspection, the contents had a definite dark brown cast. Be careful when digging in to make sure you don't spill and mess up the floor as the particles are loose and tend to scatter. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate this product a ten on dirtiness. My plant seemed to be quite satisfied once it's roots were covered and water was added. I wasn't too concerned about underwatering, but even though it advertises that it protects against overwatering too, the water overflowed out of the saucer requiring an urgent run to find towels. Obviously there are limits to it's protective qualities so use your best judgement. Nonetheless, if you can hold onto the slippery bag to carry it into the house, it is a remarkable value for the money. I'll be sure to check back in to let everyone know if my plant reaches a record size.

It consist of wood chip and peat moss. But the wood chips are very big, not good for planting seeds or tender young seedlings. It needs to be sifted for these purposes.

I am so disappointed it's something from Miracle-Grow that is such poor quality for my plants. I thought I was buying potting soil not a bunch of wood chips and filler. is dried out in the bag it was so bad and so thick full of filler product. waste of money.

This 2 cf bag of potting soil is open and taped at the very top. After thinking about it I contacted customer service and told the the condition of the item. I was and still am prepared to submit photos of the item. I have no way of calculating how much soil was removed. Customer service was kind, I would be refunded to Walmart Cash (7/5). Never received it. Called again (7/11) was told it would be processed within 3 hrs, NOTHING. I was given a coupon via email but no refund in the amount of the Miracle Grow Soil (2cf).

I ordered 2CF of potting soil 2 times in 5 days, (June 26 %26 July 1st, 2025). My credit card with Walmart orders were charged both times And I never got either 2CF bag of potting soil. It took Walmart.com 7 days to acknowledge that it wasn't delivered on 6-27-2025 in order to begin 2 process my refund 10 days later. The 2nd order took Walmart.com 2 days to acknowledge the delivery was delayed %26 was Not going to be delivered! On July 9th, 8 days later I was told it would take until 7-16-2025 to credit my account. I'm disabled %26 order only what I need. I've had these issues repeatedly since I paid for Walmart annual membership the last few years. It isn't worth the complications that occur eith most of my orders that are delivered from the local store 3 miles away! Beware!

Seems like they changed the formula. Not as good as it used to be, with lots of chunks of un-composted wood in it. some plants are not thriving. Disappointed with this.
