Miracle-Gro Performance Organics All Purpose Container Mix - Potting Soil - 16 Qt

I just planted my tomato plants and basil plants in Miracle Gro Performance Organics Container Mix again this year. Last year I used another brand and it sucked. I went back to Miracle Gro again this year because it has worked for me in the past!

I was always having problems with too heavy or too light of home-made soil mixes and this product took the guess work out of all that fussing about!

I used it to repot my basil plants and they have never been happier. I also used this mix to for teacher appreciation week gifts. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My plants loved this soil. As soon as I transferred them they immediately starting growing in size and color. No need to worry about fertilization.I would love to have a larger bag size for bigger projects. I will definitely use this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to restart a garden in my new house and this is one of the products I used in the garden. So far I have had very good results with growing whatever I have put into the ground. Looking forward to lots of blooms.

Bought this soil for some potted plants, but upon opening the bag smelt pretty pungent. I thought that was normal and there were no sort of mildew-y smells. But within a day of transplanting my indoor house plants, they were SWARMING with gnats. I've put ribbon up and have used neem, but the problem did not stop. I transferred my plant to a new container with a different brand of soil and within the next few days the ribbon traps and neem wiped them out. There were no other variables changed (fert, temp, humidity, etc) and the only thing that I can dwindle it down to is soil. Definitely bummed, I had high hopes for this soil.

I bought the organic potting soil about a month ago, and I have been propagating plants/germinating new seedlings -but they kept failing. I realized the soil was infested with larvae, and started noticing tons of flies climbing out of the soil. I was so so excited about this product but now I have an infestation on my hands and several dead seedlings. Hoping the next bag is better!
