my wife's desk can now sit under the loft which leaves both of our desk chairs with much more room to maneuver. the shelf along the top is quite roomy and very sturdy (like the rest of the loft). we put some small wire baskets on the side against the wall and pulled it a few inches from the wall to accommodate them so there is some room for storage. it's a bit of an adjustment if you are a bit taller when getting out of bed. say goodbye to your ceiling fan and get a smaller fan to attach to the headboard (or a bedjet!) assembly was fine - normal for flatpack furniture. the toughest part was moving the other items in the room so that we had room to assemble. put all of your screws in little ziplocs (label them too) so that you can find them easily. climbing up and down the stairs is fine. recommend a motion controlled light for the stairs so that you can see during your descent. also i've found that i bang my foot on the last step pretty often but i'm sure i'll learn soon enough. just glad we don't have to climb a ladder tbh. first step is a bit creaky too. same with making some adjustments in the bed will cause occasional creaking, but that's to be expected. overall aesthetically pleasing, sturdy, and functional

It's study and well built. It's a lot of work to do by yourself but it is doable. 2 people would be ideal. Instructions are clear and easy to follow as well. I would separate the screws and label them.

This bed is awesome. It's the same exact thing as Wayfair but costs less and they use Angi for assembly if you pay extra for it (but Wayfair uses that company too! Only Wayfair charges $320 for assemble and Walmart was around $150… for the same company and service!) My son is obsessed with the bed. I love that an adult can go up the stairs or even use the bed so it can grow with my ten year old. This is great for small spaces. We have a small room but tall ceilings so this is perfect!!!!

So honestly I was intimidated by the two boxes and the project I was about to dive into, but once we unboxed everything and got started, assembly wasn't hard at all. The only thing I had to mess with a little was getting the shelf to lay evenly. I felt like the directions were very easy to follow. I loved choosing which side the stairs were on, I did not love the shipping cost, but the cost of the bed itself was great. I shopped around for a while and though I'd have preferred a wooden frame, I don't expect my eight year old is going to have this for a super long time, but she insisted on a loft bed for now.
