To note these are all suggestions for work arounds and or small issues I struggled with however I only had small cons regarding this bed frame I highly recommend it! I have an inflammatory condition which makes it hard to use my hands for long periods of time ie screwing screws by hand, by myself haha.
Whether you have conditions or don't here are my suggestions
Things to consider during Assembly by yourself
Under bed assembly
Putting together 9, 10, 11, and 12 these are the sides and the rods under the mattress. If you are by yourself, it is hard to assemble these pieces first and then add them to the rest of the bed frame. So I recommend attaching 11 and 12 to the partially assembled 1, 2, 6 and 3, 4, 7. The head and foot sides of the bed.
Then add 13 underneath to make putting together 9, and 10 into 12 easier. I couldn't hold 9,10,11,12 up fully assembled to attach it to 1,2,3,4 so this is a bit of a work around.
However even if you have help I think adding 13 underneath first will still be very helpful if you decide to do it the way I did it. Instead of lifting it assembled. The rods will have something to hold them up straight while you attach 12 so you can push them into the holes easier. I almost gave up at this point before I tried attaching 13. I was ready to ask my friend for help.
Tools
I recommend using your own tools plus the L tools included, the little screw driver included is not disability friendly or even building friendly it's so small and has a smooth plastic handle I could barely get any leverage holding it.
Organize/ label
If you tend to get easily confused with the screws or parts I recommend pre organizing them into little bins with labels some of them look so similar so I had a bit of a hard time at the end of assembly. And maybe sticky notes or something on the parts as the numbered stickers on them are very small and easy to miss.
I pre-organized. The parts in terms of steps and what was being built, 1-7 bed frame, 8-14 18,19 lower bed frame/ sides , 15,16,17,40 bedside shelf, 20-42 not including 40 is the stairs, will conjoin to 3 and 4
Setting them aside in groups helped me put them together easier.
Pros
I really like that the stairs can be assembled on either side that is so convenient given my space I could have assembled it on the right side and saved myself the issue of it covering access to my closet. However I was simply giving it a try as I had a feeling I would return it.
This bed frame is exactly as shown in the photos and is exactly how I imagined it in my space it gives extra space for my room since I can fit my desk underneath.
The height is perfect as i can sit up on my bed without being too close to the ceiling.
I like the bedside shelf.
I like that the beam across the underside of the bed has a strip of foam underneath so when the rods touch it it doesn't clang my previous bed frame didn't have that it was annoying.
This nicely adds to a space making it easier to hangout
