I remember this show from yesteryear and wanted to have it in my collection. It's so well-done. The writing is tops, the actors...wonderful. Watching these episodes is a real treat. The DVD is in excellent condition and plays without any glitches. To date, I have ordered the first 2 seasons. I will surely order several more in the immediate future. In short, order this show and enjoy!
All I can say is, if you are a Mission Impossible fan or more specifically, a fan of 1960's era film and television you must add this second season of the original television series to your dvd collection. The series, imho, was before it's time in many ways and what's impressive about some of the episodes is the attention to detail that was given to dialouge, wardrobe, props, and lighting and set design. The screenwriters also strived to keep the material believable and relevant. Barbara Bain adds a bit of spice to the M.I. cast as Cinnamon Carter and it's a pleasure just watching her throughout each of her scenes. Martin Landau was cast as Rollin Hand during the first season and Barbara Bain, his wife in real life, was offered the role of Cinnamon Carter prior to Landau being offered a role. Bain went to producers after being hired and negotiated the role for her husband, Landau. Barbara Bain received 3 Emmy's for her performance on the Mission Imposible series and she and her husband stayed on for 3 seasons of Mission Impossible. They left the series together in 1969 as the result of pay and compensation disputes.
I grew up watching this show. After buying the DVD I realized that Mission Impossible was ahead of its time. I recommend this DVD
When I discovered the 'Mission: Impossible" 2nd season DVD, which I saw in my local store, was sold out, I thought I had missed out on my chance of owning the greatest TV show ever created. Then, through the assistance of knowledgeable and helpful, Wal-Mart employees, I discovered the option of ordering the DVD set through the Internet. I did so, for a price less than what I remembered on the shelf, received it earlier than I initially expected, and have been enjoying the shows ever since. Forget the movies; the TV show is the best!
The item did come loose in its packaging. The dvd's were not secure. One had scratch, but disk played.
DVD arrived as advertised in great condition.
Great buy great show!
Excellent!!!
Great show , a classic this season features Peter Graves as the head of the - IM force , and I only like watching what I consider the " Original Five" with Rollin and Cinnamon as well as Barney and Willy , they "Are " ---the team ! Having the DVD set is a pleasure, the discs are packaged easily and the container box has great graphics.
I gave the MI first season to my cousin for Christmas last year and he enjoyed it so much I bought the second season for him this year. He was VERY happy!
