I am a 90 year old male and don't often take the time to complete consumer product commentary but this case I make an exception. I have the Mission Flour burrito size tortillas at any meal, mornings one of my favorites .....microwave the tortilla for 30-seconds then butter or peanut butter and strawberry Jam, load up and roll up, hard to stop at just one. Lunch and supper I favor fried ground beef, refried beans, little sour cream and a little hot sauce. Mike the tortilla 30-seconds, load it up, roll it up and enjoy.
I like my burritos toasted on the grill after rolling. These seal easily with just a bit of water on the flap, and toast up beautifully. Unlike other brands I've tried that get brittle or rubbery, these stay soft and flexible when browned on the griddle. They also make great taco salad bowls. Wet one side, form into taco salad form or any oven safe bowl, bake at 350°F until edges are golden brown, cool to room temperature and make your salad. 😋 YUM
Well, what can I say. They are nice fluggy burritos. I have them for luch by putting some sort of lunch meat in them, with cheese, mayo, mustad, BBQ sauce and lots of hot sauce, hearing in the microwave until it's a metled mess and that's lunch. Very tasty!
I can use flour tortillas to eat almost everything. I love, love, LOVE them! These specific ones were ok. They're supposed to be burrito sized - and if you don't mind smaller burritos, they're great! The texture was good, the taste was great, and they were a great addition to my meal. I warmed them before using them so they held together pretty well. I also made burritos and froze them. The reheating process in the microwave did not turn them soggy- which I was grateful for.
I have eaten a bean-and-cheese burrito every day for well over a decade. I started out eating Amy's frozen burritos, but after those became ridiculously expensive, I switched to homemade. Making my own saves me over $700 annually and only takes me a few hours. Mission tortillas have just the right amount of thickness and best of all, a good chew. They hold up nicely in the microwave, puffing out when the interior starts to steam while never 'blowing a hole.' I tried other tortilla brands, and none topped Mission. They are an integral part of my diet I buy four packs at a time and make them all at once. A few hours 12 times a year = >$700 savings. Worth it.
Just in case someone needs the info: Sizes of Mission® tortillas: Street Taco: 4-5 inches Fajita: 5.5 – 6.5 inches Soft Taco: 7.5 – 8.5 inches Burrito: 9.5 – 10.5 inches Wraps: 9.5 – 10.5 inches
The tortilla was nice and soft . Not dry moist . Good light color. Held up well putting the filling on. It . Rolled beautiful , easy. Tasted so good. My whole family enjoyed it yhem
taste good for most meals breakfast burritos or meat, bean or been and meat or a club wrap I make with. roast beef, turkey chicken. pastrami, provolone or American cheese onions pickles rolled up like a burrito.
The only problem with these tortillas is the zipper closure never gets a complete seal. The zipper seal doesn't work tight after the package is opened. Otherwise the tortillas are good.
Please have your customer shoppers put the raw chicken in separate plastic bags to prevent cross contamination. Our chicken was put in a bag with potatoes without any protection from the raw chicken. This is dangerous. Thank you
