I hurried to open the well-protected product within the original packaging. I checked the materials used and where they joined. I purchased two; one for each 10 going on 11-year-old grandchild. It is a beautiful stringed instrument. ..fine wood. I think it is a great first-stringed . Thank you
Great little ukulele for the price.
It was packaged great and is an awesome addition to our handicapped sons learning tools.
Just ordered my 2nd Mitchell MU40 earlier today. My first one I purchased 8 years back for $30 and it has been marvelous. It's still kicking out tunes just fine, but the 8 years I've owned it have been 8 very mean and very rough years. It's been dropped a couple hundred times, left out in the rain on occasion, plucked outta 2 nasty carwrecks, dropped in a river and a lake, had beer spilled on it and inside it, had novices and kids aggressively strum and pluck at it, had my phone dropped on it a few umpteen million times while playing it, and it's also been thrown at the wall when I was mad at my old lady the other day....needless to say, its got one exceptionally difficult and tight tunning peg, dings and scratches all over it, a nasty wood splintered dent on the underside of the body, a chip in the sound hole, a warn down nut, a few cracked frets, a terribly stressed and mangled saddle, and a slightly bent neck,... and I'll tell you right now the God's honest truth: the darn thing plays and sounds just as good if not better than the day I bought it. Mitchell ukes have an amazingly pure sound that carry well. They're easy to play and even easier to learn. They're as tough as old leather, oak, and scrap iron. The only reason I just ordered a new one is because I don't want to miss out on the $40 price tag...a few months ago, the cheapest I can find these soprano MU40 ukes was between $50 and $60 plus shipping. At $40, I'd recommend buying 3 or 4 of these little Hawaiian guitars. This little instrument is hands down the best ukulele you can get at this affordable price. Do yourself a favor and get while the gettings good!
It's pretty. I got for 16 year old grandson and he loved it. Great value.
Well made and sounds nice. Fast delivery.
this ukulele is amazing and such good price i highly recommend the only bad thing i can say about it is that it doesn't have fret markers on the side but other than that it is made very well and is made of linden wood it has a very pleasing sound when you strum and looks exactly like the picture
The sound isn't bad however the strings are plastic so I have to retune it every time I go to use it because every time it gets tuned the strings stretch instead of staying where they're suppose to. Minor issue but overall it still sounds like a ukulele so (Also a little smaller than I expected, could just be me) If you want to expand your instrument collection and buy an actual qualified ukulele I would definitely recommend spending the $30+ on one from a music store. But it's great for beginners!!
