Mitchell MU40C Concert Ukulele, Natural

Came in a really big box but it was nicely protected in the packaging. Great quality and sound. Perfect choice a for beginner. The only bad thing I would say is that the edges of the body are a bit rough, so I would recommend using sandpaper to fix that.

This is my first ukulele, but I shopped around in music stores quite a bit before choosing this one. I'm certainly not an expert, but to me the tone is beautiful and strong. The workmanship is very pretty, with no rough edges or splotches in the finish. After re-tuning it a number of times over the past couple of weeks, it is now holding the tuning pretty consistently, which is what I would expect from new strings that need to be stretched. Add to this that it was on sale at MF for about half the price it sells at Guitar Center, and I am very happy with this instrument.

Sizing up to the larger concert size box made a huge difference in sound projection and tone. I recommend the (c) concert version. This slightly larger uke also gives you a wider fretboard. Makes fingering much easier! My first guitar 57 years ago was a baritone uke. I was five years old. Teach your children. They will have this talent all their life.

Good, workable, very affordable concert size ukelele so that you can get to know the instrument. If serious, you will need a nigher quality instrument. But this ukelele is great for practice, small gatherings, knocking about on the ukelele. No problem if you drop or bump it or whatever, as is not a Martin ukelele. Good buy to have a ukelele around.

Fun to play! Not a toy, but not a highly detailed hand crafted instrument either. If you're thinking about going on a world concert tour with this Ukulele as lead, you're going to want to upgrade, but get your check book out and write a bigger number in the box. If you're just wanting to have fun plucking the strings and playing a few melodies, make the purchase.

This was my first ukulele and I've loved it to pieces. I bought it just over one year ago and I still play it to this day. This ukulele is very light and very easy to dent. (I personally have one or two in mine) I would recommend this to someone who wants to learn, not for professional use.

Not the quality I expected. Feels more like a toy.

OK but it’s not what i expected. sound is not so great, but not the worst either. need to tune it again after an hour. dont expect TOO much for a thirty bucks ukulele. it’s ok for its price.

Bought this and another one for our kids. Called costumer service first to make sure it had an attachment for a strap -- she said yes. We bought two straps and ther is no way to attach them to the ukulele--such a bummer! And a waste of time for us. Plus, would rather have an instrument with straps (kids are 8 and 10).

Could not be tuned and therefore not play. We returned it.
