Miyabi Artisan 7-inch Santoku Knife

The knife is well balanced, appears to hold a sharp edge, cuts like a dream and is good looking. It is becoming my go to knife which I plan to use for many years to come.

If you like cooking and are cutting/prepping almost every day, then this is worth every penny and then some. I could immediately tell the difference with how sharp this thing is. Slicing through vegetables takes almost zero downward force. A soft, simple slicing motion is all it takes to achieve clean, uniform cuts. And as an added bonus, it's absolutely beautiful! Truly a work of art and just staring at it gives me pleasure.

This is easily the nicest knife I have ever even touched. So sharp out of the box it glides through whatever you're cutting like butter. The construction is amazing quality, balance is perfect right at the notch, not to mention both the blade and handle are absolutely beautiful

We got this knife as a gift from our wedding registry, and wow, it is worth every penny! It cuts through everything like butter. I compared it to my old knife, and there's no competition. This one is so smooth and easy to maneuver, while my old knife would cut through the same thing but squish it along the way. The handle is also incredibly comfortable. I don't know how I ever cooked without this knife in my kitchen!

I received this knife as a gift and love it! It's been such a pleasure to do all of my meal prep. The weight of this knife is ideal for me and it's my first rocking knife which is great for cutting vegetables, prepping onion & garlic and I especially love it for chopping onion, jalapeño and cilantro for guacamole.

Love the blade shape and sharpness is great out of the box! I prefer the handle shape of the artisan series to some other knives I've tried in the past.

I'm new to Miyabi, I wanted some Japanese knives & did quite a bit of reading/homework before ordering. I ordered a set of 2 Artisan knives but will have to return that ( one of the knives in that set was the incorrect sku ), I placed a separate order for this 7" Artisan Santoku, the Knife arrived with 2 parallel scuff marks running the entire length of the blade. So both orders are a big disappointment, the scuffs are deep and cannot be easily buffed out. Needless to say I am not very impressed with the service and or quality..
