Miyabi Black 5000MCD67 7-inch Santoku Knife

I have been a fan of Miyabi for years, and have very much enjoyed knives of the Kaizen II and Birchwood SG2 Lines. I was not sure that the price premium for the Black line would be a good value; however, it certainly is. This knife is so comfortable in the hand with perfectly manicured transitions, great balance, and the matte-finish Damascus steel resists slippage, even when wet. Obviously, this knife is extremely sharp, and been holding a great edge so far. Miyabi did it again, I truly enjoy this knife!

i love these knife for the Craftsmanship, and the finish sharpness for best results, the ergonomic handle its too easy for work, the durability its exceptional but with expectation of the letters inside the blade i don't how its happened when cut any veggie the letters fall inside, why no record in laser?

This is a top tier Chef Knife from the Miyabi Black Series! As an Executive Chef, I always rely on my knives staying sharp all day and I can now say that is a fact! This knife works as beautiful as is looks and it is by far of the sharpest knives out there! Superior Craftmanship and Durability!

I am a sushi chef for more than 10 years, spent a lot of money to looking for a good and dependable knife. This it is. After sharpening the knife , it can last for 2-3 weeks for every day using. The weight of the knife is not too light and not too heavy. The wood-handle is beautiful. That made me decide to buy the same series of 9” slicing knife and the Kiritsuke. I hope they will have the 11” or 12” slicing knife.

The black series is AMAZING! Aside from being one of the most beautiful knives I’ve ever seen, it’s impeccable in the kitchen!! The first words that came to mind were “it cut through anything like butter.” This knife was so incredible I ordered the 8” black chefs knife. I own and use knives used in professional kitchens and it is definitely a 10/10.

Comes extremely sharp and well made, will definitely be my daily driver. Make sure to have a seperate knife for chopping bones though.

It is good, it dose it's job and is really sharp. The only thing I was kind of disappointing was my knife was not as sharp as i though but it is way sharper then all the other knives that I had.
