I'm very happy with this knife. Great balance, weighted wood handle and extremely sharp!
I went to the mall of America and happened to pop into this store and saw that they had authentic Japanese chef knives and I had been wanting one so bad but didn't trust the websites online that I was looking at. I saw this knife and how beautiful it was and I just had to get it! The blade looks amazing and the handle is so comfortable to grip!
Really happy with this 7-inch santoku. The balance feels just right—not too heavy, not too light—so it's comfortable to use even when prepping a lot of food. The blade is very sharp. It goes through tomatoes, onions, and meat easily and makes clean, precise cuts without much effort. It also seems to hold its edge well with normal home use. What I like most is the look and feel. The blade pattern and wooden handle look really nice in person, and it has that solid Japanese craftsmanship feel. The handle is comfortable to hold and feels stable, even for smaller hands. Overall, it's a great everyday knife that also feels a bit special to use.
Beautiful knife. Recommended by a close friend in the industry, with the quote “work horse of a knife. Used 8-10 a day for multiple years. Held a perfect edge and balanced beautifully. If you're on the fence about purchasing. Jump off the fence and order.
I was able to look at about a dozen knife options at William Sonoma and chose this one. It's lightweight, balanced, and feels almost like a natural extension of your hand. Also, if you're going to spend this much money, you may as well get something that looks like a work of art. The layered steel on the blade looks great. I'm told the greatest thing about these is that they retain their edge for a very long time.
This is our first Japanese style knife and it is amazing. Very lightweight and very sharp. It cuts through everything with ease. I was concerned I wouldn't like the feel of the rounder handle but I got used to it right away.
This is a beautiful knife and exceptionally good at slicing vegetables. It makes a great gift due to its aesthetics. I got it for my wife and she loves it.
The Santoku knife is a great addition to a basic knife set. It's blade is similar but shorter than that of the chef's knife. It's especially good for very thin slicing.
Beautiful knife! I have been looking at Miyabi knives since starting culinary school, and they are 100% worth it. Super sharp, super comfortable. Very balanced between handle and blade.
This will be my first big knife purchase as I have been wanting to invest in my kitchenware! And I am pleased to say how luxe This knife is! It has a decent weight to it but is also lightweight. I am super excited to see how it plays out!
