This is an amazing product for those with disabilities and those with balance issues. I am having a blast riding this, having cerebral palsy, this item gives me the ability to ride with my son and prepare for a triathlon. Totally worth every penny!
My daughter has had a bike all of her life, and although she's tried every summer she has never been able to ride one without training wheels. She has Down syndrome and it is just difficult for her. She's older now and training wheels are out of the question and a large three wheeled bike will not work because her legs won't reach the pedals. This bike is ideal for her. It can be adjusted to fit her perfectly. It can also be extended to fit me. We love it!
I bought this trike about six weeks ago, and i don't understand all the bad reviews, this trike is great. after i rode it for about ten miles, i did make a few changes, and they were all for safety reasons, i ride it on the street i also changed the tires to street tires and i replaced the pedals with bmx pedals. I also put about 100 dollars worth of accessories, but thats just me i now have 250 miles on the trike, and i am quite happy with it,it's very easy to ride, i say that because , i'm 73 years old
I bought this trike for my autistic son because he had issues riding a normal bike. He had difficulties with balance and falling off. He wants and loves to ride a bicycle. I introduced the trike to him and he fell in love with it. He rides it everyday and enjoys it so much. It is very durable and I would recommend it to any parents having issues with their autistic child and riding a normal bicycle.
wow he can ride . he is 10 and wanted to so bad ride bike I run and run next to the regular bike till I could not breath. well he is so happy . we are going n an outing to park to ride this weekend I probably should wait to write a review cause I wish to see how I d I have heart trouble was supprised to find I can get on this and sit rather comfortable and I was able to get up from it. the steering seems weird to me but Leo picked it up fine so I imagine I will eventually catch on. I am a grandma though LOL but I sure going to give it a try I already know I do better than with regular bicycle. just may have to buy another really soon I never believed I would be able to ride bikes with him!
I bought this for my son who is unable to ride a traditional two-wheeler due to some health issues. This is a GREAT alternative to pricey adaptive bikes for kids who may not need that level of full-support riding. Riding this, he feels unique and special cuz it's COOL!
My autistic Down Syndrome daughter has been riding the Triton for 2 years now and usually does around 1.5 miles a day during the Spring and Summer. I finally had to do maintenance on it since the 2 back tires wore all the way through and actually popped holes in the inner tube (my fault for letting this happen). Anyway, I replaced the back tires at a local tire store and actually got 1.75" thinner width tires since the original thicker ones did not fit her excessive riding pattern. (A thinner tire helps bikes ride better than thicker ones.) These tires have been on for over a month and I have yet to see any wear. Anyway, I read an FAQ about an adjustable bar that allows the back tires to wear out according to the rider's usage habits so I noticed my Triton didn't have this (it was a non-adjustable bar). So I called Mobo Customer Service and they new exactly what I was talking about and got it shipped right away. This was great because I am used to carrying the burden whenever I have to use anybody's customer service, since no one seems to know what I am talking about. It was great they Mobo's service was knowledgable and able to meet my needs effortlessly. Thanks Mobo!
This is a wonderful bike for those who have trouble with a standard bike. We essential got this for a family member who can not ride a standard bike. This helps those who have fine motor control issues be able to ride along with their counterparts who are cruising around on standard bikes. Now everyone can cruise together and have fun.
I bought this online for my seven year old, very tall nephew in late November. It arrived earlier than promised, when I took it to the Toy R Us assembly crew, they advised that there was a major kink in the brake line, which rendered it useless to assemble and I would have to order another. They were superb with the return/reorder--no problems there. The issue is that the reorder will arrive by 12/20 and that is cutting it close for holiday assembly time. Long story short, this is probably a great product and I'm sure it will be used, appreciated and enjoyed, but I do think that the company needs to do a much better job of quality control when they pack and ship these products (especially around the Holiday when time is crucial). Hopefully, the second one will be issue free. I would have rated higher, but for the damaged part on first one. Thank you to the Fairlawn, Oh assembly elves for their diligence and to the nice people at the store.
Do not buy this bike if you are and adult over 5ft At its full length not big enough for adult to ride. Was unable to take back to store because of aftermarket purchase policies
