Sturdy and easy to ride

Cdahli April 15, 2015

Got this for my son who has mild CP and Autism who cannot manage a traditional bike. It is easy for him to get on and go and a very sturdy bike. The turning takes a little getting used to because it requires a wide area, but we're getting there. Overall great bike for kids with special needs so that they can get out there and ride:)

Inclusion and Fun

fostrmom2mny November 12, 2021

My granddaughter has some balance challenges and at age 10 she would feel left out when her neighborhood friends and cousin would ride their bikes. We purchased this for her to feel included in and it arrived on time. It was easy to put together and there was not learning curves in riding this. The fun thing now is that other kids from the neighborhood now ask to ride hers and as I have heard, a couple of them are asking one from Santa this year. We've had it since April 2021 and have given it plenty of use for a quality review. We would recommend this not just for children with disabilities, but for all children up to their weight limit.

This bike is truly amazing - best thing ever!

ChihuahuaLover August 21, 2015

My almost 10 year-old daughter received this (in red) as a special gift from her grandparents just yesterday. First, my daughter was born with cerebellar hypoplasia - making riding a bike something that was impossible due to balance and coordination issues because fine and gross motor skills are impacted by her neurological condition. While she never showed disappointment, and used her Razor scooter instead - the sense of independence and freedom a bike gives to children (their first taste of both) is something you can't even begin to explain. The bike came yesterday and took me (her mother - GIRL POWER!) less than 40 minutes to assemble on my own. And then...she was off! Just like that, like a fish to water, she was around the corner and enjoying the breeze on her face and the freedom every 4th grade already knows. She went around the block 4 times with my husband and came home grinning from ear-to-ear "I want to go around 13 more times! I want to eat dinner while sitting on my bike!" Needless to say, Mobo provides amazing things to all people, but to this family it allowed a mother (throw misty, teared-up eyes) watch her almost 10 year-old daughter...a 4th grader, ride a bike for the first time. If that's not worth its weight in gold, I don't know what is. P.S. Bonus - after her first ride around the block, she got tons of compliments from friends, parents and all sorts of neighbors about how cool the bike looks and how she officially has the coolest bike in our neighborhood. Total plus!

Great Customer Service

Triton Rider May 12, 2017

My autistic Down Syndrome daughter has been riding the Triton for 2 years now and usually does around 1.5 miles a day during the Spring and Summer. I finally had to do maintenance on it since the 2 back tires wore all the way through and actually popped holes in the inner tube (my fault for letting this happen). Anyway, I replaced the back tires at a local tire store and actually got 1.75" thinner width tires since the original thicker ones did not fit her excessive riding pattern. (A thinner tire helps bikes ride better than thicker ones.) These tires have been on for over a month and I have yet to see any wear. Anyway, I read an FAQ about an adjustable bar that allows the back tires to wear out according to the rider's usage habits so I noticed my Triton didn't have this (it was a non-adjustable bar). So I called Mobo Customer Service and they new exactly what I was talking about and got it shipped right away. This was great because I am used to carrying the burden whenever I have to use anybody's customer service, since no one seems to know what I am talking about. It was great they Mobo's service was knowledgable and able to meet my needs effortlessly. Thanks Mobo!

best trike i ever had

rocket ron August 2, 2017

I bought this trike about six weeks ago, and i don't understand all the bad reviews, this trike is great. after i rode it for about ten miles, i did make a few changes, and they were all for safety reasons, i ride it on the street i also changed the tires to street tires and i replaced the pedals with bmx pedals. I also put about 100 dollars worth of accessories, but thats just me i now have 250 miles on the trike, and i am quite happy with it,it's very easy to ride, i say that because , i'm 73 years old

Amazing product

Mstrong73 April 3, 2015

We actually won ours in the great bike giveaway. We have been trying to find a way to get our 11 year old son with Autism on a bike and his motor skills and balance just weren't there for a two wheeler. In 3 days of use on the Mobo Cruiser he went from tentative in the driveway to a 40 minute ride in the park to a hour almost 3 mile ride in the park. To say we are thrilled is selling it short.

A Smooth and easy Ride

Bernijean January 15, 2016

My daughter has had a bike all of her life, and although she's tried every summer she has never been able to ride one without training wheels. She has Down syndrome and it is just difficult for her. She's older now and training wheels are out of the question and a large three wheeled bike will not work because her legs won't reach the pedals. This bike is ideal for her. It can be adjusted to fit her perfectly. It can also be extended to fit me. We love it!

Shipped to Me Defective

Too Close for Comfort December 6, 2016

I bought this online for my seven year old, very tall nephew in late November. It arrived earlier than promised, when I took it to the Toy R Us assembly crew, they advised that there was a major kink in the brake line, which rendered it useless to assemble and I would have to order another. They were superb with the return/reorder--no problems there. The issue is that the reorder will arrive by 12/20 and that is cutting it close for holiday assembly time. Long story short, this is probably a great product and I'm sure it will be used, appreciated and enjoyed, but I do think that the company needs to do a much better job of quality control when they pack and ship these products (especially around the Holiday when time is crucial). Hopefully, the second one will be issue free. I would have rated higher, but for the damaged part on first one. Thank you to the Fairlawn, Oh assembly elves for their diligence and to the nice people at the store.

Mobo triton

Tanya January 17, 2017

It has been the best gift for my 9 year-old son! He has been enjoying riding this bike so very much! However, we have changed the tires 3 times already since we got it a month ago! We called the company and they admitted the problems with tires and have been kind to send us two extra tires. At this point, we are not sure what to do. To return it back means to break my son's heart (it was a Christmas gift); to keep it means to keep spending more money ($25 on each tire)!
