[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky enough to win this incredible soccer kit from the Modelo sweepstakes, and it made our recent watch party an absolute blast! We got together during this June window to catch up on the thrilling match from June 3rd, and Modelo Especial was the absolute MVP of the night. This Mexican lager is everything you want for a sports gathering. It's incredibly crisp, refreshing, and smooth, but it still brings a rich, satisfying malt flavor that sets it apart from standard light beers. It kept the energy high and paired perfectly with all our party snacks. As you can see in image.png, the custom ice bucket kept our drinks perfectly chilled, and the mini soccer jersey koozies were a massive hit with my guests-they brought the stadium atmosphere right into our living room! I'll definitely be purchasing this 12-pack again for all our soccer nights this summer.

I've always liked Modelo, so it was nice having a few different options to put out when friends came over. The Modelo Especial had that classic lager taste I expected, the Modelo Oro was lighter and easy to drink, and the Chelada Especial added something different with more flavor. The variety worked well because there was something for everyone. Some guests liked the lighter Modelo Oro, while others went for the regular Modelo Especial. For me, Modelo Especial still stood out the most because it has that smooth, familiar taste I've always enjoyed. Overall, I thought the lineup was refreshing, flavorful, and a good balance of light beer, classic lager, and chelada-style flavor. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family who enjoy Modelo, lagers, or cheladas, and I would buy these again for cookouts, pool days, or having people over.

This is the perfect beer for watching sports, especially the World Cup! This lager is very hops-forward, which I love. Modelo Especial is a very easy-to-drink lager. The variety between Modelo Oro, Modelo Chelada Especial, and Modelo Especial offered something for everyone, from a light and crisp lager to a flavorful chelada. All three were refreshing and enjoyable, with a nice balance of lightness, classic lager taste, and bold chelada flavors. Modelo Especial stood out the most for its smooth, well-balanced flavor and crisp finish. I would recommend the lineup to friends and family who enjoy lagers or cheladas, and I would definitely purchase these products again for future gatherings and special occasions.

Coming from a background in craft brewing, I had previously dismissed Modelo Especial as one of "the usual suspects"...but it was through my sommelier training that I learned to open doors previously closed to food and people pairings. At a recent carne asada, or bbq event, in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas, someone gave me a 7oz Modelito served in a tall wine glass. It was delicious and refreshing with a slight bready flavor, as if I were tapping a barrel at the cervecería (brewery) myself. It also positively changed my perspective on the brand after I tasted a few more that day, including a sampling of the mysteriously dark Modelo Negra.

We had a mix of regular size bottled Modelos, can Modelos and the small Modelitos. Fun to add the coozie jerseys. Would try to find the Chelada options next time.

It's consistently smooth, crisp, and refreshing, with just the right balance of malt flavor and a clean finish. It's easy to drink and pairs well with almost any meal or a casual evening with friends. Every time I've had it, the quality has been consistently good. Definitely a beer I'd recommend!
