It's low back, I'm 5' 5” and it comes to the middle of my back. It is very comfortable and good for a small space and as a starter couch. It fits 4 ppl and a small child (under 5) comfortably.

Perfect in my formal living room. Surprisingly soft and elegant set.
The fabric is soft, is very comfortable and the set up was easy BUT the back broke as soon as someone lean back and the reason is because the metal parts that connect the bottom to the back of sofa is not secure enough is connected to cheap wood and the back of sofa broke off from the bottom part.
This couch is so small and so uncomfortable. It looks much larger in the photo. The material appears dirty even when it is not and I would not recommend this to anybody larger than a child
the back of the couch is very flimsy and doesn't support you when you lean back
