This makes a great "Pho" fish tank. put blue gel in the tank with fake plants and fake fish. makes a cure desktop item and no mess. Please don't use it for real fish!
I agree this is not a good aquarium for REAL fish....that is just unethical but its such a cute idea they have plastic toy fish that actually look like they are swimming when put in water...that would make it completely decorative but still such a cute idea for your desk...problem solved for everyone
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS FOR YOUR FISH! If you can use it for like one of the little battery operated fish, go for it. For real fish? This has no filtration, and is way too tiny! Goldfish and bettas need a lot of space! That, and the curved walls will actually mess with their vision!
This is way too small for ANY type of living animal to live in. If you are an insensitive human who doesnt care about the fish, at least know that you will spend more time cleaning this thing than you will enjoying it. I cant believe âtanksâ this size still exist. Stop buying these so they will stop being made! Do your research before buying fish
Don't put any fish in this tiny amount of space, it's absolutely cruel.
There is absolutely no fish that can live in this, not even a snail. With pristine water care you might be able to pull off a few freshwater shrimp. What this “tank” can do is be turned into a mini terrarium. Go outside, collect small rocks, soil, moss, tiny plants, and some isopods(rolly pollys). Put the rocks on the bottom(this is your drainage layer), then put the soil on top. Next you just decorate with rocks, moss, and plants. Then release your bugs in there. All you need to do is sprinkle water on top every once and a while and toss extra bits of fruits and veggies in for the bugs.
I know what you're thinking, "what a great way to spice up my office!" but as someone who keeps fish, I know that they are a lot of work and believe it or not they are more work when kept in such a small tank (if they survive). The smaller the tank, the more frequently you have to clean it. With more water the perimeters are relatively stable and you can do less frequent water changes (less stress on the fish as well). And the fish in this photo are absolutely not going to survive in that environment, which is why they photoshopped them in there. They're trying to sell you a cheap piece of junk in hopes you'll impulsively buy it and not bother returning when you learn the truth.
This is disgusting. This is not suitable for any living thing. It is WAY too small for any fish. Only people who know nothing about animals would get this. Fish are way more complex than just tossing then in a tiny container of water as a desk decoration!
This is absolutely horrendous to advertise to put ANY live animal in. This is absolutely condoning animal abuse. Goldfish easily can obtain 10-12 inches long or more. They also need filtration systems as they produce tons of ammonia, as well as supplies like a water pump and possibly a heater depending on your location. They also require a minimum of a 75g tank. Not even betta fish can survive and be healthy in this thing. Bettas also need a filter, pump, heater, 5g+ tank, etc. This is just cruel and sickening. Fish are animals, too, and deserve to be treated right and cared for properly. If you wouldn't want to live in something the size of a cat carrier or small dog crate, don't force your fish to do the same. Fish also can get stressed very easily and the knocking around of writing utensils can seriously stress them out!! Horrendous.
Not for fish, yes not even a betta. Bettas require at least 5 gallons, it is a myth that they are happy in bowls. Yes they will technically survive but it is not any sort of quality of life. Bettas are awesome pets when kept in the right conditions, they are active and have their own personalities. Please stop putting them in tiny bowls
