This item is false advertising. A weight limit of 400lbs, 3 beds, space saving. There is no way that this can support 400 lbs no matter how that weight is distributed. The slats sag with little weight on them. The lateral swaying and slat flex are huge concerns. It's impossible as advertised. It has posted warning not allowing more than one person on top st a time, yet it's 3 beds in one!?! It moves and shakes with little effort. It's a hazard and I do not recommend it. Even for a ant one 6 years and older weighing less than 50 lbs. There is miminual support and what support it has is cheap and not solid wood like it states. The lack of support crest immediate risk of top bunks collapsing. Frame is too flimsy to support advertised weight. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Walmarts Product Safety will be hearing about this hazardous unsafe product.
