Moen 5923Ew Align 1.5 GPM Single Hole Pre-Rinse Pull Down Kitchen Faucet - Gold

This is our 2nd Moen Align...black matte (FL) and spot stainless (NJ). Love both. We've had issues between the hot/cold flow in FL. Moen support is OUTSTANDING! We've followed instructions. It does seem to be an issue with FL water and the sand that gets into the system. We do have our own filtration system. The plumber said doesn't matter; MOEN concurred. It seems an issue with FL and TX waters.. All our bathroom fixtures (total 5) are MOEN. We've issues with our one BA faucet with seals (this spa set is 15 yrs). Never an issue with the support we've been given. Wish all companies gave the support received from MOEN.

I'm mostly compelled to review this design because my model requires batteries. My home builder installed a Moen Align MotionSense Wave in my kitchen but provided no instructions. I was perplexed the first time the faucet stopped working. I discovered that the sensor is powered by six AA batteries. Once the batteries are depleted - the faucet strops functioning. The sensor also triggers when items are placed in front of it. There is no way to disable the sensor. The nuisance of unintentional operation, having the faucet stop working, and having to replace batteries far outweigh the convenience of having a wave sensor.

Looks like high quality and looks nice but we've had trouble with the faucet randomly turning on when no one is anywhere near the faucet. It also does a poor job holding a steady temperature especially at low flows. I would not get the motionsense again since we really don't use or need that feature and it seems to decrease the function of the unit.

Was either a returned item or open box. Not sure if pieces are missing. No instructions (brochure for diff. model in box). I didn't realize this wasn't directly from Walmart.com vs 3rd party reseller. Don't trust Walmart 3rd party sellers. Had to return

Purchased 5923EWBL (Matte Black) in 2022. Worked great for a couple years. Then the motion sensing stopped working. Tried all the reset procedures listed on Moen troubleshooting and other sites. Emailed Moen support. Got an immediate response and they shipped a replacement electronics box. Plugged it in - motion sense still does not work. Wrote back to Moen. No response. Wrote back again. Still no response. Wrote a third time. STILL NO RESPONSE. Not only is the faucet design and quality faulty, support is abysmal.

Three weeks after installation, all of a sudden cold water only, no hot. Next day began working again. Then for a day no water at all. Next morning worked fine again for five days, now tonight the hot water isn't working again. Beautiful faucet, but the electronics are garbage.

3rd party - open box, missing instructions and likely some parts

The Good: Physical construction of the faucet seems good--commercial-grade feel to it, heavy and sturdy components. The Bad: The electronics in this unit are a dumpster fire. Bought the first faucet and installed in early 2021. Less than a month after installation, started getting the dreaded quick-flashing blue light and no water flow. Had to warranty out with Moen, who said the "brains" were malfunctioning. Had reinstalled, now it's doing the same thing less than a year later. I've had to crawl under the sink and recycle the electronics multiple times a day just to have water in the kitchen sink, which is ridiculous. Now I'm waiting for a call back from Moen to see what they will do to remedy the situation. Conclusion: Do not buy, this is an expensive piece of non-functional art.

If the battery that powers the touchless function dies, the faucet is inoperable. That's right. No water. Completely useless. For clarification, the loss of battery does not just render the touch-less function inoperable, it renders the entire faucet inoperable. No water even if you use the lever. It really blows my mind a product with such obvious design flaws could come to market from an established brand like MOEN. It's especially fustrating given I considered several less expensive alternatives that looked similar but eventually opted for this more expensive model from MOEN because MOEN was a more reputable brand and I didn't want to run into troubles down the road. Obviously this was a massive mistake I now regret. ** Especially given we now occasionally airBNB the house. It's a constant battle.

The design team failed on this one. The sensor needs to be on top of the faucet or at least higher on the side. Everytime I try to wipe the counter on the sensor side my hand sets off the sensor. Frustrating! Also, changing the water pressure disengages the sensor. Moen has a great reputation but I don't like this one, especially at the price. Very expensive. The "touch" faucet was much more convenient.
