Just what we needed to replace an old Moen shower faucet that stopped controlling water temperature. Looks great and hope to get as many years out of it as the old one!

Worth the Money
Replaced a competitors product with this Moen faucet because of my experience with other fine Moen products. Priced slightly higher than some brands, but well worth the extra few dollars.

Moen Adler Shower Tub 82603
Less expensive than the Caldwell. I like it better. Seems to fit onto the 2520 valve and 1222 cartridge snugger. I had problems with the Caldwell and replaced with the Adler. I like the handle on the Adler much more than the Caldwell. The Caldwell handle seems to be looser and sticks out further.

Shower Valve
The options for installation will allow for any type plumbing allowing you to choose the best one for your situation. Only bad thing was the tub spout was designed for long stub out not short one. I used the old spout but Moen should include an insert like many replacements do that allows for either long or short stub out. The anti scald feature is very handy for those with young children by limiting the maximum water temperature that can be chosen.

Moen shower set awesome
Bought this as my shower valve broke. We had our plumber install as it was not a DIY project we could do. Took a couple hours and we were back up and running. Very nice and price was reasonable. Lifetime warranty.

Great faucet and mix valve. I just wish there was less plastic and more metal components. Good quality for the price.

When you need a shower it's the thing to use.
Turn the on the handle water flows, turn left or right to adjust the temperature. The real test of a “quality” fixture is longevity. Ask me in 10 years what I think.

Faulty new Alder Model 8260 tub/shower combo valve
I just installed a new Alder tub/shower valve. Water only trickles from the tub spout regardless of the position of the control handle. Everything is connected properly but the valve does not work
