Leak detector is perfect for basement finished area room. A small amount of moisture on the floor will set off an alarm.

These detectors tell me if there's a water leak or if the furnace of a/c goes off when I'm not there. I use them wherever I have to worry about water – in my basement, under my dishwasher and under all my sinks. I even have one in the refrigerator to tell me if it gets too warm. And this price is great…I recommend the detectors to anyone who worries about leaks or inoperable equipment.

I use Moen Flo at two homes. The water detectors are great when used near dishwashers, ice makers, water heaters, central air conditioning and more. If it detects a leak it will call me and give me the option to turn off the water main. If it can't reach me it will turn off the water. This has proven itself to me several times.

Super easy to set-up. Easy to activate the battery and connect to the app on my iPhone. I have an antique house and was concerned about the cold water supply to a bathroom. This unit accurately alerted me to a new leak one morning, (fortunately, I was home). I was able to control the issue until the plumber arrived and replaced the pipes/joint.

I'm happy to report we haven't had to put the Smart Leak Detector to the test; however, like the home fire insurance policy, it's great to know we're prepared in the event of! If the device in the event of a real emergency works as well as or Moen Flo monitor, we're well prepared. We've had some trouble with our boiler Extrol tank, the Moen Leak Detector will help us in the event this tank springs a leak before it becomes a problem,

These leak detectors work. If a small leak is detected it will cuase your moen valve to close and save a major cleanup or damage. Batter life is very good and the battery is easy to change when needed.

I was able to set it up without too much trouble. It has been sending alerts about the humidity it senses (but you are able to adjust the level at which it would alert), so it seems to be working. Unless or until there is water leakage, I won't know how well that function will work.

1) I installed a three pack. So I got to experience installation three times. All three had serious problem connecting to the WiFi. Each took three attempts and 30 minutes of suffering minutes each to get them connected. As compare the the Moen Flo which hooked up immediately. And an every other internet device in my house has been easy. 2) The sensor connector if tapped when being put into position can short for a second which causes an no alarm and shuts off all water in my house. Happen twice. Not fun.

I have had 6 of these very expensive monitors and shortly after the year warranty is up they will no longer stay connected. Stay away.

Device won't setup properly. Freezes on WiFi setting in the app. Tried to reset and still doesn't work. Also came w a dead battery but they helped pay for new battery.
