My 2 year old Moen garbage disposal (new construction, supplied by builder) suddenly failed recently. I had low expectations that the "limited warranty" would be of any use, but I was pleasantly surprised. After a quick call to Moen, they shipped me a replacement unit and provided the phone number of their service partner. They arrived this morning and replaced the disposal. Cost to me - zero. Aggravation to me - minimal. Fantastic customer service!

Plumbing connections are industry standard, so it fit easily into a replacement position. This is the only disposer that comes with a power cord prewired in, so all I had to do was to plug the disposer into a switched outlet. It's not that hardwiring is complicated, but it sure is inconvenient to do in a lower cabinet! Best part is that I never knew that a disposer could run so quietly! I've seen a lot of brands over the years, but this one is definitely the quietest!

This item was a piece of junk. It worked off and on for five years. It had to be unjammed several times with the awkward tool that only Moen disposals use and had to be purchased separately. Finally the motor seized, which I guess is common to this type of motor and the item was scrapped.

This unit came with our new house. It's already locked up 3 times in under 3 weeks from very lite use. Don't waste your money on it.

Closed on my new home 22 months ago. Builder installed the garbage disposal and was working good until last week. Then it stopped working. Pressed the reset button, checked the circuit breaker and the outlet and even tried to turn the disposal turntable. Still could not get it to work. It is the first time I ever had a disposal quit in less than two years.

Jammed for a couple months. Installed 2/14/23. I have two sinks in my kitchen and this disposal get used very little. I tried to unjam with a wooden spoon. Did nothing but to mess up the spoon. Called Moen. They sent the unjamming tool which is used from the top. I tried in both directions quite a few times. Frozen fast. Removed the rubber insert and used a high intensity flashlight to look for anything that might be causing the jam. Ran a wooden shish kabob stick around the outside. Can see nothing. Just some grunge. Use a screen to keep stuff out. Call Moen again. The 5-year warranty does not cover jams. Very Disappointed
