Great great product

On paper this product looks really good. So good in fact, that I ordered 10 singles. I encountered 2 huge obstacles in the design. The foam backer gasket doesn't compress quite enough, and the bar will wiggle a little under pressure. While I realize it won't come out of the wall, a wiggling grab bar is not a huge confidence builder. Second - the flange cover that comes with the grab bar (hides the install flange) does not cover the Secure Mount ring. The ring is a hair to big. If these were a little (and I mean a very little) smaller in circumference, the cover would work fine. At this point the flange cover won't push all the way over the mount, and the mount is left visible. Gives the impression that it's not a professional install. Overall, I like these so much that I'm tempted to grind the circumference down a few millimeters, scrape off the backer gasket and replace it with a few layers of painters tape. However, in the current configuration, I can't recommend them. If Moen made these few minor design adjustments, Secure Mounts would become the industry standard.

I used this product today. Client wanted grab bars in her 1970's fiberglass one piece shower. I found one side of the shower was 1 inch thick and the other was 1/4 inch. This fit both thicknesses and was very secure. Moen engineers need a big "pat on the back" for this well thought out, well designed, well built product. Love your product. Brettk

I didn't expect to find it at Walmart. I searched other sites but couldn't find exactly what I wanted and had higher prices.

Fantastic product for installing a grab bar. The video instructions made it easy .I will buy Securemount again and recommend it to family and friends.

Bought a pair of these but my hollow wall is only 3 inch deep, am wondering if I cut 1 inch of the brackets would they be safe to hold my grab rail. Or do you make a smaller one Thank you Alan

stated that needs 3 1/2" wall space. Didn't have that. Decided to try anyway. Lost 2 backers in wall on 1st bar install. 2nd bar install went smoother. Used long installation screw instead of plastic install tool. Was easier. Installed with MOEN grab bars. Screw covers didn't want to fit easily around mounting. Will be interested to see how they hold up. Will definitely use again.

I used a SecureMount to install a Moen grab bar in a bath area. I found the installation straightforward and secure. My only complaint is that the grab bar end cover does not sit flush against the wall surface when using the SecureMount as shown in the Moen installation video. Deceptive video. The end cover does not fit over the SecureMount mounting plate. I recommend only if you accept that the cover plate does not sit flush against the wall surface.
